I got a Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens the other day for a very good price (second hand, but in as-new condition), and have since had a mind-blank about some things to take photos of. I've taken shots of flowers and stuff before, but want something different and unusual to shoot instead.

Any ideas/suggestions?

nick just wonder around outside or around the house and take photos of things, that's what I usually do with a macro lens.. works better with a tripod though

Could even do nice portraits.. I take photo's of all kinds of random things with my 105mm.

i was about to suggest that. nothing stopping you from using a macro lens for anything
