darrinspencer
I am having problems fitting the oil drain from a Gt3076r to a Rb25det. I have the drain on the turbo pointing vertically down. I have been supplied with a 19mm straight drain fitting by GCG what they suggest to use. The problem is the 19mm or 3/4 rubber hose keeps getting a kink in it. Ideally I need a angled drain fitting off the turbo, similar to the factory one but cannot seem to find one off the shelf. May need to make one? What have others used on Gt30 series turbos in the low mount position. Photo's would be great. Psymon
I had a similar problem on my RB20. I did a temporary fix by getting a piece of moulded heater hose from Autobarn in the right size. I have a couple of speedflow fittings on the way that should be a more permanent fix. JonnoHR31
have you tried shortening the rubber hose? i had the same problem with myne, i simply slid it as far onto the drain pipe as i could and it straightened out enough Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/294675-gt3076r-oil-drain-fitment-issues/#findComment-4915639 Share on other sites

Dale FZ1
Don't be afraid to "clock" things. Loosen your housing retainers and rotate the centre section slightly so that it's not straight up and down. That slight angle may help. If it's not enough, take the drain in and have the straight tail either bent a bit, or removed and weld in one with a nice curve. to point it all in the right direction. If the hose is too long, it may cause a slight kink as JonnoHR31 said. I ended rotating the turbo to get this to work. Turned it approx 5-10deg. I was tring to keep the drain in the ideal vertical position, but there is just not enough height. It is now all hooked up Thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/294675-gt3076r-oil-drain-fitment-issues/#findComment-4916537 Share on other sites
