Hey

Just an EOI on my R33 Series 1 at this stage, or swaps for a manual turbo (not another r33 though) I would prefer a R32 GTS-4 (coupe). Willing to put in some cash to upgrade to something, only intersted in cars in SA unless your willing to orgainse everything. I live in Whyalla (4hrs from adelaide) but visit adelaide every few weeks.

Newer pics (with rims) should be up on monday arvo (hopefully)

some info about the car

1993 R33 Series 1 Skyline, manual, non-turbo, no airbags (so aftermaket steering wheel doesn't need one), power windows (as all r33 have), climate control (as all r33 also have, recently re-gasses),

ENGINE/DRIVELINE/ETC

  • Factory manual
  • Heavy duty clutch
  • Catback exaust with 3" cannon exaust
  • Engine oil & oil filter changed every 5,000-7,000 km (changed last weekend)
  • Gear box oil just changed
  • Brakes fluid just changed (inc bleading of all lines all the way through)
  • Radiator fluid just changed and radiator cleaned out
  • 17*,***kms
  • King Lowered Springs
  • KYB shock (less then 10,000kms old)

EXTERIOR

  • Full viva garage type 2 (a little damage on the front bar)
  • 25mm flared guards front and rear
  • re-spray in blaze blue (outside & door jams only) (average condition but i'm a bit of a perfectionist)
  • 17" ROH rims (few marks) with 4 near new Bridgestone Excellece tyres (tyres worth $270ea) (will also come with stock rims with tyres (about 90% tread left on all))
  • Xennon lights (low beam)
  • Bright white parkers and rear lisence plate lights

INTERIOR

  • Very good condition, besides wear on right side of drivers seat and wear on handbrake "grip"
  • All leather boots (handbrake and shifter) are in a very good condition (new looking)
  • Genuine skyline floor mats (all 5)
  • Bit of a sound system
  • Momo steering wheel with boss kit
  • Isotta shifter
  • Air Con, ignition, cigarette lighter and dash lights have been replaced with either bright white globes or 40,000MCD LED's 2 weeks ago

Planning on respraying lower lip of front bar on Sunday or next time i'm in adelaide.

Probably have forgotten a few things

Would be perfect for a P plater, love the car but it's time to get a turbo. The only thing it needs are some spacers to improve on the offset of the wheels and it would be awesome.

I have always either garaged the car or had my car cover on it since i have owned it and has maintained and well looked after.

There are no problems with the car, it's very reliable and have had no real problems since i have owned it.

The ride height is about 120-130mm but the bodykit makes it look alot lower, have had no problems with the police (even when in adelaide). There is nothing on the car that i can think of that is defectable but the exaust could be a little too loud but i'm not sure, but does have a nice note though. I have never been defected before and only pulled over once by an RBT.

nah sorry not really what i'm after.

Will put it up for sale for about 8,500 a bit negotiable on price and willing to remove a few bits and peices to lower the price (rims, etc)

Will try and get some new pictures by the end of the week of the new rims and the damage on the front bar. I will hopefully respray and fix the lower lip in the next few weeks, depending on how much time i have (uni exams ATM). PM me any questions or enquiries.

I also have a mirror (can't remember what side though) that the new owner can have if they want it works fine just missing glass.

If not sold by christmas will go on carsales for $9,000, giving SAU members a chance to get in earlier.

Can't access link at work, but probs to expensive. Max trade cash would be about 5K. Could probs go a little higher for the right car tho.

    • Hey guys. I have a 400R on its way to Australia from Japan currently and have a few questions I’m hoping others may be able to help with.   Wondering if anyone here has had any luck getting the Sat nav unit to work in Australia!? Assuming the Stereo is as simple as a band expanded and tv won’t work?  Seeing as they’re based off a Q50 which is Aus delivered is there any way to link that system to the nav? Nav modules and head unit are different part numbers and appear slightly different at the rear with plug ins etc. can I put my xtrail sd card into the rv37 and will that convert the maps or update to Australian? Has anyone got any advice here?     also has anyone fitted the factory remote start and Security system once it’s landed in Australia? I put an enquirey to Nissan Japan in via a third party, and they suggested it needs a Nissan Japan dealers device to setup and couldn’t guarantee if one here could do it or not. They can supply and I can physically fit it but to setup I would need a dealers device. Any information here would be appreciated also. I’ve seen one here with it fitted already prior to leaving Japan at a dealer/inporter, so clearly passes compliance and works when fitted Japan and doesn’t need changing here.      also, does the tyre inflation sensors work here? Does anything change with them when the vehicle arrives? Where are they actually situated? I’ve read they have batteries and they need to changing at times and seems like resetting involves the nav system?    any help here would be appreciated and any other aust specific information to help would be great. Looking forward to see what the current generation skyline is like and eager to see how many of the gadgets can be utilised here.  Thanks in advance
    • Do need to take it with a pinch of salt. One of the adapter failures, they clearly had setup issues with the flywheel.  One of the slipping ones I spoke to and it was pretty clear the throwout was riding, rather than fix, just swapped to a new clutch.    These clutches are being put in anything from 5k offroad 4x4 beaters, GR yaris, 500hp commodores to 1200hp barra monsters. Bound to be some issues in some of them when they are not a simple bolt in affair due to the changes in height.    There is a lot going on in this picture and unless I did the job myself no way to tell what really happened.
    • I did this mod in 2019  You just have to modify the top bracket of the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU so it sits more upright and closer to the back seat and run a good quality positive battery lead from the engine bay, the negative lead i just bolted down to the body in the boot.
    • Damn... Not the feedback I want to hear.
