Hey Guys,

I've had a search but most are for the inlet side of the engine. I noticed today that my car is leaking coolant at quite a rapid amount. I've only just got the car going with the new motor (116kms, out of a nana auto stagea, so I'd say it hasnt been thrashed up until now) anyway today it started leaking coolant, its got a really constant drip, about one drip a second when the engines running and its dripping off the front of the sump, on the exhaust (passenger) side.

I'd say its the seal around the waterpump but I'm not too sure. Can't really see where its coming from. I'm hoping that it isnt a headgasket or cracked head :P but its a really constant drip so don't think so. Any ideas of where to look?

Cheers

+1^ Most water pumps have a small hole on the shaft that coolant leaks out of when the water pump seal is stuffed. The hole is normally located just behind the water pump pully. Check to see if it leaking from there. If not, then it may be a gasket leak from the waterpump. Maybe it wasnt sealed with goo properly being replaced once before in its life.
