At the Tolis drive day today using our latest Willall Racing setup in our R35 GTR we went several high 13s with a best of 1:13.82 Performance Box backed. We are quite happy because outside of the Gibson cars this would have to be the fastest Skyline thats ever been around there. SA Great? You bet :P

Small world....Aris Tolis is my Lawyer....what's his involvement?

Well done on the great times.

And his bro is my GP :)

got asked to come out once to their private track day by the 3rd brother (dentist) but what was i gunna do with a stock 33

LOL, I'll make sure he does now.

Is he a member of the Porsche club as well? cause I worked with a couple of people from the club years ago.

I beleive so. Yeh he has the NA 911 with 300 odd kw at the wheels, runs it on slicks on the track days does consistent 1.15, at the previous track day he managed to get embarassed by one of the bathurst guys who dropped the car down to a 1.13  after he let him drive it. Gotta say that dude can drive made me nearly peee my pants :).

So i kinda have an idea of how fast 1.13 in a GTR would be, thats an awesome time.

From the logging the GTR traps an actual 216km/h down the main straight (indicated 228 - 230km/h), with 195km/h turn in on the kink. Thats - fast - GTR out accelerates most any Porsche throught that zone, including (from the logging I have seen) genuine Carrera Cup cars

Killer as in FULLY SICK?

Yes, actually :)

Yes I agree they suit very well.... As asked above who was driving?

Some say he can shift gears faster than the GTR and that VDC is only for bad hair days, all we know is -

it was actually Keir Wilson driving it. No ring in pros for the day :)

    • I found the same with Subaru’s.  I own and love the SG9 Forester, after that model 2008+, Subaru threw the ugly stick at all their line up and somehow managed to make them look worse with every succeeding year.  lol
    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
