Carbon Kevlar is where it's at!

Final Motion in Japan - http://www.final-motion.com - have all sorts of CK parts for your car. Sure it's not cheap, and the yellow looks a little iffy - but it's pretty cool stuff.

Kevlar console lid anyone?

Apparently you can also get CF and CK rocker/cam/plug covers for your RB26! Screw the weight advantage, that's gotta look cool!

interesting stuff..

does the kevlar make it even stronger than CF already is??

if you had a gold car, like, top secret gold.. probably wouldnt look -that- weird..

only a matter of time till imitations come out.. and everyone will have it.. like a bad case of rice

this sounds like a stupid question, but im serious..

could you shoot a bullet at it? seeing as its kevlar?

Yes, you could shoot a bullet at it, and it'd go straight through!

Most kevlar vests (stab/pistol proof) are made from quite a few layers of kevlar fabric which isn't hardened (unlike the bonnets etc). This allows the round to be "caught" by the kevlar and stopped that way (it still hurts like hell but you'll live). If you want to stop a high power round then a plate of steel or ceramic is used.

Geeky answer I know but I wear one often (goes with the job).

u worked on boats? so u were a semen? sorry couldn't resist...

In that case u'd be able to answer this... does it work the same way as cf when laying it? or is there a different process, do you have to bake or pressurise more than cf?

you would be doin well to get the guards, even in kevlar lighter than the factory aluminium ones and even if you did it would be that minimal, the driver goin for the quarter pounder instead of the big mac would make more difference!!! Like tho and as rezz said welcome to 2001, i was goin to go further but you get the idea!!
