cutting r32 bonnet

just wondering if anyone here has modified their r32 bonnet, by cutting the front lip off (like a GTR) or if it would just be cheaper to buy a GTR bonnet?

Would anyone have any idea how much it would cost to get a pannel beater to do this?

buying a GT-R bonnet would be better as it's aluminium if i'm not mistaken. It's much lighter than the GTS bonnet.

Yeh if you can get a GTR bonnet, they are lighter and you would be guaranteed a better result. You will need the GTR latch etc as they are different from the GTSTs.

I bought a new bonnet and had it resprayed so had the old one spare. I did as you suggested and it isnt to too hard. I put the front lip splitter on it as well, and a fibreglass drift vent.

Its more functional then pretty, will be great for cunder bonnet temps at the track or on a hot day. The looks isnt something a few hours with more glass resin and a frexh re-spray wouldnt fix.
