Hi Guys,

Question about someone in Sydney wanting to buy my car.

He has asked for the original import/compliance forms (which i cant seem to find atm)

and saying that they are needed for the blue slip.

However i was under the impression that if the car still has rego (till march) that it can be just transferred into nsw

by supplying a blue slip, and just a copy of the registration here in vic... or does he need the forms?

i thought maybe he would need them only if the rego was cancelled here and then he went for rego in nsw with no existing rego on the car

Thats if you needed them at all, because once its complied it should be on record anyway with dotars

or should i jsut call dotars and try to get a copy of the forms?

Can anyone shed some light on this

i had a look on the rta website and thats what i gathered from it anyway

hahahah Ian, you're funny - straight answer from the RTA

seriously though, if it has a compliance plate then it should be fine - blue slip will be required to check the compliance and the engine/chassis numbers match + normal roadworthy stuff.
