I bought on of these last year as a Christmas present to myself. I'm actually sitting in it right now as I type this. There are 3 things that I don't like about it.

  1. The plastic piece for the harness straps just above the GTR logo is really hard and not at all comfortable. It's not an issue if you are sitting up straight but if you put the seat back and put your feet up it's right where your head makes contact.
  2. When the seat arrived the holes in the base plate did not line up with the holes in the seat. This was pretty easy to fix put annoying none-the-less.
  3. But most annoying is the fact that the gas for the seat to raise and lower it failed to maintain its height after 3 months. This means that whenever I want to sit in it I have to raise the height and then it will gradually drop down in small increments. This really pisses me off but it would cost me another $80 in postage to send it back to Just Jap.

Would I buy another - probably not. Best to get a proper office chair and get it refurbished in leather and a GTR logo.

I am sitting in one of these right now, and I have had it for around 3 years and its still perfect - Definately one of the best things I have ever bought for my home office.

No problems for me with the plastic harness hole piece either, maybe its my height.

Sewid uses one also and he's had his as long as I have had mine.

Several friends of mine have also bought one after coming over and seeing mine, no complaints from any of them so far.

I do indeed have two of these. One for me and one for my wife. Bought them when they first came out, prior to the GT-R logo of course.

Been good for 3 years, not any complaints about the harness holes from me, I never rest my head there really.

A "proper" office chair can cost upwards of $1k so for $300 this is a bargain. I have $1200 herman miller aero chairs as well and to be honest, for comfort, I'd take the race seat office chair all day.
