External Waste Gate/s

hey guys. im not 100% sure on external waste gates so bear with me fellas/ladies.

im just curious to no if i can put an external waste gate onto a turbo that already has an internal one??

should i get a mechanic to do it??

plus what expense's am i looking at for a waste gate?

there is no point in putting an external wastegate on your stock turbo.

yeh i no but im in the process of getting my turbo highflowed. the internal will handle 17-18 psi and if i put an external i can get 20psi plus....

and if you get an upgraded actuator ( http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=665 ) for the internal gate there shouldnt be any issue running the same boost at significantly less cost.

yes well the turbo set up im getting has a 1.3kg actuator

just get a boost controller.

bear in mind, the more boost you want to run, the SMALLER the wastegate can be.

yeh ive got a boost controller man.. my aim is 250 kw+ out of this turbo setup and hyper gear said if i put an external i can get more boost.

but the setup at the moment comes with a 1.3kg actuator.

im un-sure of the internals/externals of a turbo as im new to the turbo scene.

If you need an external gate below 300rwkw then the turbo is shit.
