$50 is much cheaper than $440min (if i was going to buy new rotors i would get the dba 4000).

1 side question, DBAs website says original thickness - 30mm, min thickness, 28mm. So with abit of wear, and then having them machined, theres not going to be a great deal left?!?!

I'm starting to get some rather extreme brake shuddering under what I'd class as medium braking. My pads still seem pretty chunky, but the front rotors arean't to smooth to touch.

Is it worth getting all 4 rotors done?

Machining is definatley worth it.:uh-huh:

Shuddering usually means warped discs. If your discs look worn then get them done.

It's like a tetanus shot: If you can't remember the last time you had it done then it's due (same for bleeding the brakes :( ).

strutto - the amount removed from the disc is dependant on how deep the grooves are. The machining takes them back to a flat surface.

I paid about $50 a disc, done thru reputable race workshop who's done lots of suspension work for race car (including Brock's Monaro). Definitely remove my shuddering problem. I think sometimes you get what you paid for. My disc was machined last year (probably cost less than $50 a disc) by some common brake shop and even after machining it, brake shudder remains. So we ruled out it wasn't the disc and waste time for a year checking wheel alignment, balancing rims, etc. Turn out it is due to to poor machining job on the disc last yr. With this recent $50 a disc job, it fixes the problem. I shouldn't have wasted so much money on alignment and balancing....
