Malteaz
Have my LED tail lights installed a couple of weeks ago and mechanic & few other people have said they think they are too bright. Does any one that has them think the same/ and can you tinker with them to be less bright? The brand was Mars & i purchased from Ebay... Just wanting others thoughts in relation to cops pulling me over for them... C if i can post some pics soon... Malteaz. Spunky Munky
Hi mate, if and foremost, they're LED - they should be more intensive and brighter. You can try another set besides that I don't think there is any other ways of making it dimmer. It's bulb LED dependent, I would have thought. RusH_
you always have the option of using some Nightshadez to tint the tail lights slightly if you are adament that the lights are too bright Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/296140-led-tail-lights-too-bright-r32/#findComment-4935078 Share on other sites
Yo-Yo
tell them if it's too bright you're too old my old MY06 350z had led taillights & brakelamp from factory & they're definitely bright, if cops are gonna pull you over it'll be more for your car rather than the actual tail lamps imo Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/296140-led-tail-lights-too-bright-r32/#findComment-4935125 Share on other sites
autemo
Yeh, I agree with Yo-Yo - the brightness of your tail-lights are probably not gonna get you fined... How about uploading a photo of it? Craved
wire in a potentiometer find a brightness you like, get someone to measure the resistance the potentiometer is set at and install a resister Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/296140-led-tail-lights-too-bright-r32/#findComment-4935738 Share on other sites
NA_Goodness
Thats what I was thinking. Add some resistance to dull the lights down. Do you have a picture of it? I would have thought if the lights are too bright they would look like brake lights, and I can understand why cops wouldnt like it. Malteaz
Thanks all for your responses... Pics attached. only took them in the garage tho. Hmm really should have turned the flash off Nightshadez? Haven't been followed by cops yet so dont know what they 'think is right' but thought i'd just get some feed back in case they have a winge.. スカイライン(R34)
Check that the lights r wired up correctly. I just double checked mine, and turns out the parkers and the brakes were crossed over (the brake is much brighter than the parkers). Might be that you have them crossed over...
