One for the Victorians to root for. Seems Sam Markovs immaculate and fast R32 GTR has been sold and bought by Tony, and will be piloted by one of Vics most insane JFK! Will be entertaining to see how they go as JFK doesnt mind having a go!

Awesome car and top driver...I'd say it would be a contender for the fastest GTR out there. Does JFK have much experience at EC?

You need to keep up with Postman Pat voice overs :)

"...what, my single purpose in life is to amuse you? You find me funny? Funny how? like funny ahaha, or funny like light in the loafers?" :D

i dunno... you're a funny guy... you know... the way you tell the story... it's funny... geez tommy...

you stuttering prick I almost had yeh! I dunno henry, you may fold under questioning.

/end good fellas

as for troy taking over the world benny, I've heard this movement is gathering strength against the ginger resistance uprising. as for troy, I would get some brown hair dye if I was you mate. especially if you still planning that trip to the UK. might not be healthy.... http://vimeo.com/11219730

edit: clip may be a bit full on for some folk. it's a music video but a bit graphic... be warned!

With all the chatter about the Pro Class it is worth mentioning that the action in the Open class will also be hotter than ever.

This year will see the turbo S2000 that completely dominated Clubsprint class in 2008, now stepping up to open class with John Boston once again behind the wheel. With a full rebuild now behind it that included a new wide body kit and a set of lightweight Advan rims, a 2.2 litre engine full of Toda internals and Hypertune inlet making close to 550 rwhp this will certainly be one to watch when the flag drops on 21st and 22nd May.article_s2000.jpg

This is a pic from 2008. We tested it yesterday at the Creek for the very first time with the 2.2 stroker, wide body and roll cage. We were running a fairly low boost setting so we could work out what it is was doing. The to do list includes; the brakes were sh!t and need some adjustments, rear end needs alot more tuning, gearing for the diff and power delivery :D

This car is the hardest car to drive fast atm so with some adjustments, hopefully it will help :P

Going through T1 at the Creek in 6th gear with the foot on the gas and the car power oversteering might look good, but it is not fast

I dunno about anyone else, but this car/driver combo sounds like it should be in Pro Class???

Pro = Pro/Paid??

Open = Pretend Racers??

Club = Weekend Warriors.....

Just a thought........feel free to shoot me down as you will!!

(this could get interesting...... :) )

I know bugger all about the rules but i am thinking the same as you.

Is this John Bostons car or is he a hired gun. 550rw hp in something that light spells too chicken shit to go and mix it where the car really belongs belongs to me.

Hey someone has to do it...so hats off to the guy building a car to best expolit the rules!! Sux to be Russ in a GTSt, but with RB20 goodness behind him he is still a winner...until he chucks an RB25 in it then he is just anothe kiddy fiddler! :P

So it comes back to that rules interpretation thing again eh?

Deja Vu. :D

You've also got luis from drift garage punting around a 500+ rwhp s13 in open.

It should weight a good 100-150kg less than the s2000 as they aren't lightweight (unless compared to gtr's of course). Massive difference in track experience but potential for a good drag race down the straight.

WOW

To be worried would mean I actually care........(which I do, but only a little..)

I'm all for just being a part of the experience, and would not miss it even if there was only one category.

But it would be nice to know you were competing against people/cars of like skills/performance.

Afterall, isn't that the whole idea of three categories ??

I think everyone wants to entertain the thought of being slight chance.....

I don't even know the rules/regs for each category but just thought I'd put it out there for comments. (which worked!)

See you all soon, I'll be the GTR trying to love tap bosso down the front straight (just for you Marlin!)

    • Should shit that in as for the driver ability probably not
    • Trying to find the plastic under cover for an 04' Forester X. The main under cover that covers most of the front of the vehicle under the engine. This has turned out to be a crazy experience. Normally I can find parts for vehicles, if I have the correct info, no problem. But not this! The Forester is a non-turbo btw. In a Forester parts catalog, for model years 03'-06', it shows part# 56410SA070 as being the correct part. So I go to the local Subaru dealership's website to order it. I type in the part#, hit search and there it is, the under cover. "DOES THIS PART FIT YOUR VEHICLE?" I type in my VIN# and sure enough, "This Part Does Not Fit Your Vehicle. See Similar Parts For Your Vehicle." I click on that and part# 56410SA000 comes up. Looks absolutely nothing like the previous part. Not even close. So I go to a different Subaru dealer website and put in that 2nd part# (56410SA000) and "This Part Has Been Replaced By" 56410SA070, which is the first part I looked up. I thought OK, makes sense. They replaced the strange looking part, with the one I looked up first, so I add it to the cart. "Does This Part Fit Your Vehicle?" I type in my VIN#, and sure enough, "This Part Does Not Fit Your Vehicle." I've basically been doing this with various parts suppliers and dealerships, for the past 4 hours! Does anyone know what the hell is going on?? Thanks in advance!
    • have you rotated the car yet? if so how smooth was it?
    • And finally, I had the driver's side airbox off while adding a long drain hose under the oil can to down near the oil filter. Doesn't look good, it has definitely had an turbo oil seal leak and looks like it has been for a long time.....guess I'll have to get a pair of highflows to put on the shelf It's also worth mentioning it has a really strange clamp between the bottom of the airflow meter (which has a big barb/lip on it) and the intake pipe. I've used the magic of MSPaint to show, basically you have to clip out those 2 steel springs which unlocks the hose from the AFM. I used 2 flat screwdrivers, the spring sort of clips into the unlocked position. Reassembly you just pop them both back flat once the hose is far enough up the AFM that the spring clamp is above the barb. Weird to use but much more convenient once your'e used to it compared to trying to do up a hose clamp under the airbox like on 32 GTR
    • The other thing I started was a fire extinguisher bracket.  As with a few other cars previously (350z, Leaf), I'm going to add a bracket between the navigator seat's front bolts, then mount the extinguisher on that. Unfortunately Nissan (probably the same engineer who did the A/T fluid interwarmer) decided that the front seat brackets would be recessed and uneven so the bracket shape was a bit tricky; I ended up doing 1 part under each seat mount (the large hole is because there is a flange under the seat mount to allow for the carpet thickness)   and then a horizontal part between those 2 No final pic yet as the paint needs to dry, I'll post up once that's done
