Superlap 2010 Ramblings

Considering the problems that the evo and the 34 had, I don't think the first day counted much dialling happens on the first day, add to that the large drops in temperature over the day and the changes to track and tyre temps from midday to 4pm and only 15 min sessions, I think they would love more track time to work on things.. Specially when you are aiming for one lap... You don't have the comfort of having 40 laps to get adjusted and make ip time.

There is a fix for that, we used to have the same problems as everyone, but changed the front wheel bearings to a ball type bearing (tapered std) and the problem is fixed. have had same front bearings with no knock off for years now.

dont kid yourself, it is expensive to participate let alone be competative.

i hope to have the car sorted for this next year, just dont know whether ill need to run the big engine. hopefully i wont embaress myself.

Who knows, but i am guessing about 600 entry. 2k tyres, 400 in fuel. A few hundred for oil, brake fluid etc. Brake pad wear etc. Could easil yhave added up to 3k or over in a blink

That's probably right.. I thought it was $800 entry though... The tyres would be the killers there... Specially if your running 265s on 18s.. 2k wouldn't even get you 2 fresh sets.

Is this for all classes? Im thinking of entering club spring class next year... but $800 errr unless it includes practice days.

2k won't even get you the first set! not of anything competitive anyway.

No Jess the Superlap GTR is for sale ,second GTR was sold months ago.

Seriosly, if the Superlap one is being sold anywhere near as cheaply as the last one then it would be a bargain!

Entry for open worked out at $670 or something - 10% for paying early so about $600.

Not sure about clubsprint? $400?
