Question About Rental Properties And Cars

Recommended Posts

jesus such hostility...

Not many girls get cars and based on how much time, effort and money alot of guys poor into them cars to girls = the enemy.

Its quite simple really.

You were honest enough to tell it straight at the start that you wanted a 2nd car.

Your GF should have been honest with you from the beginning IMHO. If she didn't want you having the 2nd car she should have said it straight in the first place - because you wasted time asking around and researching etc... "Might" have prevented the argument in the first place.

I wouldn't risk the relationship...

But you "could" twist it in your favour.

Maybe she wants a new/newer car.

Since its going to be a daily car. You get her crappy charade and you buy her a newer nicer car... No girl would turn that down

Just my 2c

see i was gonna suggest that man, but then you've just okayed what she did. and rewarded her with a new car. plus what "new" car can you get for a couple grand that she would be happy with?

^ good point - I didn't look at it from that angle.

WYTSKY - What car did you initially have in mind?

Hey guys,

had some time to think about the situation, went to Qland with a mate for 5 days...

I admit I have been a bit unfair on the situation... I was too harsh on her and she has also said the same to me.

Im probably not the best listener of women, so Jess saying I don't think its a good idea and I don't think you should get another one..... im just going to say I can't put that together, so theres part my fault too...

she only said its a car vs her only because we rent and we may move to another location in another year, so our situation isn't 100% set in concrete where or how we live over the next few years and if for some reason i had to move back home, the p's couldn't/wouldn't want me to have another car...

so the situation is at an end, i guess im just jumping the gun a little bit with our location and stuff, but just didn't want her looking like a complete b*tch to everyone when she does look out for me, i just don't notice it alot of times....

Finally, as im sure most blokes on here in long term relationships know, compromising comes from both parts, so when the time is right i'll get my daily!

boys will be boys ;)

round her little finger.

As 33gtst said, car = enemy. I know this all too well, but if she does not respect it, she does not respect you.

I see nothing wrong with a daily, perpahs keep the 33 at a family members property for the weekend?

End of the day its utter crap, I see no good argument if the body coprorate is AOK with it.

holy crap man! no joke as i read the first post i thought "wouldn't it be funny if the bitch was lying to him just cos she doesn't want him to have another car? hehehe". sux balls that my sense of humour is prescient.

seriously though. get the car. if she leaves over something like jealousy that you have two cars while she has a shit one, she wasn't worth keeping in the first place, end of story. if it was financial issues then maybe she has a right to be worried, and a sane person would try to discuss it wit you.

quick question; is she living with you, or are you living with her?

totally agree with above.

    • Huh, wonder why it blew then. I never really beat on the car THAT hard lol I dailyed it and the turbo blew after 6 months
    • That's odd, it works fine here. Try loading it on a different device or browser? It's Jack Phillips JDM, a Skyline wrecker in Victoria. Not the cheapest, but I have found them helpful to find obscure parts in AU. https://jpjdm.com/shop/index.php
    • Yeah. I second all of the above. The only way to see that sort of voltage is if something is generating it as a side effect of being f**ked up. The other thing you could do would be to put a load onto that 30V terminal, something like a brakelamp globe. See if it pulls the voltage away comepletely or if some or all of it stays there while loaded. Will give you something of an idea about how much danger it could cause.
    • I would say, you've got one hell of an underlying issue there. You're saying, coils were fully unplugged, and the fuse to that circuit was unplugged, and you measured 30v? Either something is giving you some WILD EMI, and that's an induced voltage, OR something is managing to backfeed, AND that something has problems. It could be something like the ECU if it takes power from there, and also gets power from another source IF there's an internal issue in the ECU. The way to check would be pull that fuse, unplug the coils, and then probe the ECU pins. However it could be something else doing it. Additionally, if it is something wired in, and that something is pulsing, IE a PWM circuit and it's an inductive load and doesnt have proper flyback protection, that would also do it. A possibility would be if you have something like a PWM fuel pump, it might be giving flyback voltages (dangerous to stuff!). I'd put the circuit back into its "broken" state, confirm the weird voltage is back, and then one by one unplug devices until that voltage disappears. That's a quick way to find an associated device. Otherwise I'd need to look at the wiring diagrams, and then understand any electrical mods done.   But you really should not be seeing the above issue, and really, it's indicating something is failing, and possibly why the fuse blew to begin with.
