Since opening up as the new and improved Project D Drift School at the beginning of this year, its popularity has absolutely exploded and its new outstanding reputation just keeps on growing day by day.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of our new Instructors Rob Arbolino (2007 Super Drift Champion) and Dan Mackie who is coming off a 4th place finish at the Drift Australia Finale from at Oran Park. Project D is also proud to announce the appointment of Logistics Manager, Chris ‘Slim’ Green.

Project D Drift School is the ONLY dedicated Drift School in Australia. With, 7 Hand chosen Professional Drift School Instructors from both DA & SD, who each compete Nationally themselves, 4 purpose built school cars, a dedicated logistics manager, as well as a full time general manager, Amy Boatwright who is also Series Manager of the Drift Australia Series, heaps of available days (4 just in January alone, and 1-2 each month after that) and a huge range of options to cater to and suit people of all demographics, and locations as Project D Drift School attracts students both Nation Wide and Internationally as well. These options include Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 as well as Friday Night Classes which we are really excited about.

The Project D Drift School Instructors, Fernando ‘Ferds’ Wiehrl, Chris ‘Easto’ Easton, Dan ‘The man’ Mackie, James ‘Jabbott’ Abbott, Scott ‘Schembri’ Schembri, Rob ‘The menace’ Arbolino and Luke ‘Rang D’ Murphy are all hand chosen from Drift Australia and Super Drift. And as you would know are all very well recognised names in the Drift world, so who better to teach you the fine art of Drifting then the guys who live and breath Drift themselves. And with a line up like this you are sure to have a lot of laughs along the way.

Its no wonder Project D Drift School has attracted so much Media Attention lately, with Editors and Journalists from many popular magazine titles such as Autosalon, Hot Fours, Fast Fours, HPI, Top Gear Australia, Motor and more, as well as Television shows such as Getaway and Speedweek, and even a whole feature in Motive DVD which is coming some. And who can forget a class with the Crusty Demons, with Seth and the guys, which got featured in their own magazine.

Due to outstanding popularity Nation wide as well as Internationally, Project D Drift School is proud to announce the newly formed partnership with Chifley Hotels. All Project D Drift School students are entitled to Special Discounted Room Rates when they attend the school.

Project D Drift School has a huge corporate backing from BBM Motorsports, SABER Performance Products, Castrol Edge, Micks Motorsport, Pass Powdercoating and X-Force Exhaust. We are also pleased to announce K-Sport have come on board.

The guys at Project D are proud to support the sport we all know and love, Drifting. “We feel that we are giving a wider demographic the chance to experience Drifting for themselves, where they other wise would not have the opportunity to. Which in turn will then help to bring our sport more to the main stream and hopefully will help take away some of the misconception of Drifting”

Fernando Wiehrl (Project D Director).

Amy/Fernando - just a FYI here from Admin point of view (before people start getting too excited like motive DVD)...

We have no issue with you advising of events, and similar, it is a good thing for the community as a whole for motorsport events gaining momentum in such a time where 'hoons' and other ridiculous media propaganda is rife and making life difficult in many respects.

However you need to be mindful there are many businesses that pay to trader/advertise here on SAU :D

There are also some businesses (usually driver training/media style things) who do not outright promote/sell here on SAU, but on the flip side to advising, they offer users/respective clubs discounted rates or free plugging/promotion as a trade off that we deem within reason on a case by case basis.

You are not in either boat at this point so i ask you to please be mindful of this when posting here as we do have a site to run that costs near on $2,000 a month due to the size and staggering amount of traffic we generate here :(

I can appreciate Drift School is for the good of the community of enthusiasts which is always a good thing.

If you wish to discuss further, feel free to drop me a PM.

Cheers

Ash

a couple of SAUers tried out Project D yesterday at eastern ck.

one guy even came across from perth to have a go

4X cars with 4X trainers + fernando + admin & backup mechanical staff

it all ran very smoothly 9 till 4

only hitch was a turbo gasket on the s14 needing replacement on the spot - took an hour and a bit

1X trainer was in your ear quite a bit

too much lunch was supplied - but hey when the adrenalin's up, who wants to eat right?

plenty of guys hiring out V8s on the main track came over & pressed their faces against the fence, eyeing off the drifters lol
