Hey guys,

I've been doing some reading on EPAs/ Canaries the past couple weeks, and just wanting to get a solid yes or no and explanation if possible to this question...

For a Police Officer to issue you an EPA or defect, does he/she require a TMU license?

This has been discussed in another thread somewhere but I couldn't really grasp a definite answer to my question from reading them :)

Cheers guys

on top of that, I read somewhere that even ambulance or fire fighter officer can report your car and EPA will send you a notice straight away.

or if you get spotted by EPA officers themselves - my old R33 got reported that way. drove side by side with a white car with EPA logo on the door in the traffic jam.

the only exception is if it's general public member, then EPA / police will have to do some kind of an investigation or wait until similar reports happened that matches the description of your car before taking action.

I have heard that cops, ambo's a firies can report you and you get an epa notice, if the general public report you they need 3 complaints before they send you an epa.

I wonder what's to stop the same person sending 3 complaints under different names if they've got something against you (ie my neighbour)

Nothing, same as the littering hotline, once they dob you in its then your task to prove that it wasnt you.
