Spoke to 3 different people (including manager) all said that's the best price available.  Was quoted $1600pa through Just Cars, but wasn't fully comfortable with their conditions.

PS: I'm 26 y.o., living in the western suburbs.

NOT trying to knock the western subs, coz I used to live there. But thats the main reason for ur insurance being so high. My insurance was costing me $77 a month, is now down to $43 a month now living in Mitcham.

So just keep in mind where in Melbourne you move too.

the suburb DOES have a lot to do with it as R31_Gurl said.

However, I got a quote for the same car in 2 different suburbs and the cost was about the same - the suburbs were: Sunshine & Elsternwick. Parts of the East / South etc can be expensive too.

The suburb you live in also determines how much you pay when it comes to registration time too. :thumbdwn:

Yes, its much cheaper to register your car in geelong than melb for example.

Yeah, and as I found out, much cheaper in the outer east than the inner west.
