i spoke to blind_elk the other week, and he was suggesting the same thing. to hold a workshop kind of day where we are taught basic maintanence things. if someone knows what they're doing and is willing to volunteer their place, i wouldn't mind just going there :)

Sometimes reading a book isn't enough. Personally, I don't learn much from books - I need to see it demonstrated and then do it myself.. 'Spose everyone's different.

if you want to learn something u will learn it from a book or a video or a person...you cant always expect to get things handed to you on a plate (not saying that u always do). U might as well get the mechanic to pull a skyline apart in front of someone and tell u where all the bits go..would take a couple of days but i'm sure you wouldnt remember what he told u after the whole lesson. But anyways $250 buys u a book that has all the info you need on maintenence with illustrations etc.
