Wouldn't you rather have the R35 on the top in case it drops? That way it crashes the lotus :D

;) Hoist locks in on all 4 posts every 6" or so....so when working on a Car or storing I lock in all for

posts ...................................very safe......

MD ... with very long hours.

Dont make it out to be hard...this guy showed us years ago what you have to do in your line of work

LOL, i crack me up ;) Nice car, in July i sat in the Nurburgring carpark just staring at a black 997 GT2 like a total retard for about 5 minutes...the owner then came and moved his car, i think to just get it away from me :D His had the monkey car option and the attractive GF option ticked too

Nice solution! Did you need to reinforce the foundation footings prior to installing the lift? What brand of lift is that?

Supplier installed it for me and told me that this 4 post model did not require securing to the floor but can if so desired.....

I never Dyna bolted it down and it is very secure (heavy duty gauge metal and all powder coated.....)

Comes in 3 phase or just normal......

Also provided are heavy duty removable casters so one can swing the whole hoist around the garage/shed......

Top quality product....paid about 4k

PS: I have no connection with any Hoist suppliers ......

haha forget the Porka, what a cool idea for a backyard:)... I bet you replace your divots or get in trouble with the Mrs hehe

I see GT2/3 all the time round here but still haven't seen a 35 on the road... not enough people with taste I assume;)... and they're all driven by old blokes who have too high a blood pressure to drive them like intended

damn now whenever I see a Porka driver I'm going to wonder if they have a golf hole in their backyard...

GT2 is absolutely magnificent!, I love it, excellent!....but it's a totally different car to R35.

R35 is more like the 911 Turbo, an all-weather, everyday supercar with mod-cons and practicality that you can put in 'D 'and go to the shops in.

The GT2 is much more track focused, rear drive only, 2 seats only and dry weather only. Makes a great deal of sense as a 2nd hand purchase too where in a short time $100-150K comes off the $450k RRP when new (same goes for the Turbo). There is no questioning Porsche engineering & quality, just outstanding....but that said the GT-R comes awfully close and for rather alot less... Obviously the ultimate scenario is being able to afford both!

Obviously the ultimate scenario is being able to afford both!

i was just discussing this with a guy at work.. and we came up with the obvious question of what do you do if you can actually afford to buy and maintain both??

like the old lexus saying... "if you can afford to buy a lexus... you dont buy a lexus."

Any chance of a closeup pic (or 2) of the gearstick please?

I love the feel of the 997 GT3 alcantara/suede, and I had assumed the GT2 would have the same material....but it doesnt look like it?

You've also made it pretty clear I need to change roles, i'm national sales manager, MD is clearly where a revhead needs to be :D

What does it feel like to drive? Have you taken it through any twisty roads yet?

Thanks very much Mark, that actually looks 10 times better than the GT3 one up close.

Nice to see one being modified, and so young!

Dont be afraid to keep us all updated on the GT2, its not a skyline but its still damn fast and everyone here can appreciate a car like that, even if its not a new age datsun

Thanks again!

Sorry guys, was planning to pick up a R35, but got distracted & purchased a GT2. RS Tuning package should arrive soon. Hopefully an R35 some day soon.

lol why are you saying sorry for? The GT2 is a much better car. I was looking at an R35 but i couldn't bring myself to spend that amount of money on something that the average person doesn't know what it is, although I am still in love with the R35 because of its performance factor.

You feel more acomplished in a Porsche than a Datsun lol. I'm still young so if the good times stop flowing or i make bad mistakes in the future, atleast I didn't spend too much on a car and can hopefully dig my way out of any financial problems lol.

I'm still happy with my choice, but i guess i can get a veyron if i sell my block of units..... but then i'll have to live in the car lol
