No point buying a FMIC if you wanna beat him down the 1/4, go and get some fat 245 or 255's on the rear along with a set of pineapples.

Also put your spare tyre back in and try it again, removing weight from the rear end of the car will give you less traction which is why you may have spun your wheels alot.

On my first attempt I only managed a 14.46sec, my excuse is severe axle tramp which I put down to removing weight from the rear of my car (spare tyre, sub box and other misc things) and also being on a prep'd track with a totally different surface to your regular road.

Keep trying, dragging in a manual is an art that takes a while to master, and this shold be evident in the differences in your 60' times.

To be honest though, with exhaust, diff change and ls1edit, his times are about 1/2 second (or more) slower than they should be too.

I reckon a FMIC will help you. When I put mine on my car I remember feeling a huge difference, especially in the midrange.

Also I agree with chops ... the VX should have been quicker with exhaust and ls1 edit. Diff gears depends what he's got ... 3.9:1 might not help him so much over the quarter, but good for initial accel.

Thanks for all the advice guys i cant wait to go back and try some of the tips out on the track...

I was actually running with my spare in the boot, and my wheels are 235, so ithink i am just a bit of a spaz.

This may sound like a stupid question but what are these pinapples that people keep going on about

you *should*, should, with some more practice get it down to a flat 14sec. A 60' of about 2.1 and ET of 102mph or so should see it in. You're close on the ET, i'd say you're losing 0.4 sec in the takeoff. Best not to drag direct against a person anyhow, cause generally the "heat" of trying makes you fug something up.

damn, i wish i could get my car back out there on strip. Its gonna be a couple of months ..*withdrawal*

I'd say the MOST important thing for a boosted R33 is to sort your A/F ratio's out! Invest in a SAFC, or PowerFC if u can afford it. The SAFC by far made the biggest difference for my car. With the mods you have, you should see some huge gains - 20 - 30rwkw.

Do a search on SAFC, and see what other peoples feedback has been once their A/F ratios were sorted.

ahaha i love this,

your a feathers length off beating the top of the range most powerful and expensive holden... and your in a gtst :D:)

not many holden 'heads' are aware that there is a gtst skyline.. AND then there is a GTR skyline

:devfu: ;) :kick:

Sort out your shift points. I find holding the gear just that little bit longer where it sounds like it is starting to over rev a little to be the best shift point.

Generally in the 32 that is around 7100rpm depending on what boost I am running.

His has the Exhaust done, diff ratios changed, and his computer reprogrammed.

I would consider your car to have very minimal mods compared to his, Pods arn't a 'power' mod they don't make any more power. Well on mine it didn't - Back to back on the dyno.

If I were him I would be dissapointed with a 14flat as hell what would he have got with only an exhaust. Taking in to account that you ran your quickest time on std boost.
