Well. She is finally running with the new turbo. Went for a lap around the block last night to make sure it could handle more then just idling on the driveway. First time its left the yard since November. Got her upto 55km/h and almost 3000rpm  LMAO

Far from running properly. Just need to get a Stainless steel BOV return line fabbed up (currently capped off, with the factory BOV running atmo as a temp). Also going to get a Bell-mouth Dump pipe/Front pipe as I'm not happy with how the Split dump I'm using lined up with the new Turbo. Also going to fab up a new heat-shield to cover the turbo.

Once these things are addressed I'll take it to my local Mech to fix the timing on the CAS for me then hopefully it will be ready to take back to Racepace for its final tune. Come on 260rwkw. (My goal).

Other things are the happening with the car. I have purchased 2 new front seats. As much as I would love a set of brides I just cant justify the cost. Just waiting on the arrival of the rails before I can install them.

Also did a quick install of a Fire Extinguisher (Mounted on the rise between the left and right rear foot wells), as well as put a few more reinforcement brackets to hold the front lips to the front bar a bit sturdier.

Its scary to think how far I've come with this car and how my original plans are so different to where I want to be now. I bought the 33 instead of a 34 thinking I'd have 8k to spend to extras. I always declined the idea of a larger turbo and only ever had the goal of lowered springs, a stereo, wheels and an exhaust. The performance bug is too strong.

More photo's to follow soon.

Couple more pics. Nothing really new.

Expecting Stainless steel BOV return line to be done tommorow.

The Seat rails I have ordered I have just found are on backorder until the end of June (LMAO) but I can wait patiently for them.

Also got a pic of my comp room. Just for laughs. Still need to get around to getting a Decent sized turbo (non working) to polish up and through on the shelf next to the helmet. Couple more model cars to get to finish that collection as well.

Car should be booked in to get the Timing fixed in about 2 weeks. Soooo close now.

Future plans. Once its tuned on this turbo that is the "expected end" of the power mods :)

Its getting fairly close now to where I want it.

Brakes are still completely standard and is on my list. Just looking along the lines of slotted rotors (factory size), upgraded pads and brake lines. Nothing over the top as it already stops pretty well.

Otherwise just remove Hicac, Oil Cooler, maybe look at a quieter exhaust, and some underbody aero inc rear diffuser but that will be last on the list.

So yeah. No more major plans. More then anything just the finishing touches so that I can make the most of it when I finally hit the circuit.

After that its time to put more focus into the house and piss off the damn VSIII Statesman for something much nicer as an everyday car.

Finally back in "Car mode" after a few months of barely looking at the thing. Almost have enough money to get it tuned. Been running around using its current state of tune and everything is still running quite nicely. Knock levels are fine, injector duty is fine for the way I'm driving it. Obviously cant give it a bootful yet though. Tune is only about a month away now. Thank you tax return.

No new photos but at the moment but the new seats + rails are off with the engineer getting sorted. Playing it safe and getting it done properly. No need putting myself at risk cause of a half assed install. They will be finished in about a fortnight.

Currently my aim of having all the turbo/tune/seats finished by November for the Numurkah show and shine are looking on track. Just need to keep driving it enough to stop the battery going flat.

Updated photos. Seats are now done, harnesses back in. Looks like I'll be waiting until march for the tune. Rego and insurance just came. lol.

Feedback would be great. Also currently working on a photoshop verson of my car with the current front bar but using gtr guards and new wheels. With filled front bar to line up. Will upload for opinions once complete

The car looks great mate,I absolutely love it.

I was thinking of getting that front lip for my car,but for a while I went of the idea because I thought it looked a bit ricy, but now that ive seen it on your car I'm now dead keen on one lol.

The work you've been doing to it is exactly what ive been wanting to do to mine in terms of polishing and painting so ill be coming back to this thread for ideas worship.gif

Just a few questions though, how did you go getting the BOV pipe back to the intake and what did you end up doing for the breather fittings? and what did you do to back up and strengthen the front lip?

Cheers.

For the BOV return line. Once everything was in place. I made a pvc dummy piece made up to match up to the new positions. Then took it to a stainless company to make up the new line in SS. Then just used little rubber joiners to connect it.

The breather fittings are all AN fittings with Braided line. The new intake pipe (the one the BOV line also went to) I also had a thread welded to that so i could attach my AN fitting. Otherwise all the breather lines run exactly as standard. Except for the bypass to go to the Catch Can.

As for the Front Lip. It has been bolted to the front bar near the front wheels. And underneath i made up a few metal brackets that help hold it to the front bar.

It was already a fairly tight fit. And the metal brackets were an afterthought. The lip needed a bit of modification to fit. It didn't clear the pipework for the intercooler so had to be trimmed. We also cut it in half and added about 5-8mm of fibreglass to make it reach.

My opinion on it being ricey is that it still uses the standard front bumper, and doesn't have anything odd protruding out of it. So it cant be too bad.

Hmm. i've looked through my files. Nothing of the backseat area atm. basically consists of the harnesses, no backseat. Sound deadening peeled off with a rough attempt at painting it in a matching silver color. Small Fire extinguisher behind the center console.

Once the tune is done ill be looking at getting it to Heathcote park for a 1/4 mile pass asap. I also want to get to a Winton fun day to give circuit a go. but need a brake upgrade and oil cooler first

Quick photo of the back seat. Its not that exciting. But gives a bit of an idea. The padding around the bolts for the harnesses is to reduce the noise everything I corner or hit a bump.

Finally got to Racepace yesterday for the cars longly awaited tune. Results were a little down on what I hoped for, but im happy with the result nontheless. I got a bit of a shock when it started putting out a few flames from the exhaust. I didn't relise that could happen whilst running a cat. Either way. Final result was 245rwkw.

When are we going to see it a the track??!!?!

Circuit. Still a little while.

Drag. End of May I'll be able to post up my 1/4 time.

New Sparkplugs on order, Rear wiper now deleted. Must be time to start saving for an oil cooler and brakes and wear out the Toyo's so I can start running Semi's

    • They should do. I have S14 (or something S chassis, anyway) driveshafts in my R32 (because my diff flanges have 3x2). They're the right length. When you go looking for R32/3/4 driveshafts (for turbos), they're all the same thing, so are the same length. So there really shouldn't be any reason why those cheapies from JJ won't also fit an R34. R32/3 NA should also be the same thing. The (3x the price) D-Max ones are uni-fit. They have 5x1 and 3x2 bolt holes and say they cover all the cars. So that would also suggest that they are all the same except for the flanges. And in that case, the flange goes both ways. I'd be buying the D-Max ones if I ever have to replace a shaft. Because that will open up diff options without needing to juggle shafts also. Juggling shafts is gay.
    • Yeah with the adaptors they do look like the photo above - just the fitment within the plenum itself and then further with the rail to the intake is questionable - we shall see tomorrow hopefully once I get some replies from Aeroflow, maybe those bosses are the missing piece....
    • Should be fine, if you have it sitting too far in, you end up just spraying the walls and have shit idle. You "can" run them like that, however I don't think it's a great idea (also depends on your plenum, might be good to just get the injector bosses first, mock it up and see if you need to get the bottom extension) Ideally your injectors, with the extension should look like this  (Not my photos, just Google)
    • Thanks for the replies guys, it's really appreciated.  It seems the kit was supposed to come with those injector bosses but hasn't. Unsure if they'll help as even with the adaptors to make them a 3/4 height injector they still sit too far out so mount the fuel rail?
    • Hello, I am looking to replace my two rear drive shafts in my R34 N/A Skyline but I'm finding conflicting information. Do S13/S14/S15 or R32 NA/ R33 NA fit? https://justjap.com/products/gsp-premium-rear-drive-shaft-l-h-nissan-silvia-s13-s14-s15-3x2-type?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOoqY7EwDaYCUoUU3mxxZ_qrUXkVVHiV4MIN7ozoar6scjnEiekv- would this fit?
