Cleaning a dry solder joint won't repair the connection, you need to heat the solder, remove it using a solder sucker or wick and replace with new solder. It's not like soldering irons are expensive,

I found the issue with the factory boost gauge bouncing or not working at all. If you open the sender unit, dont remove the board, just solder the three pins (at the top of pic) that run to the plug u

I've been having an intermittent problem with the gauge so went to tackle this job today armed with my soldering iron. Unit looked good so followed the vac hose back to the plenum... found my problem:

Anyone got one of these unreliable OEM boost senders?

I haz gauges that have no sender...  Plug and loom would be handy too...
