Clutch problems

Cruisin down the freeway about 100km/hr and in 4th and 5th i slowly put some revs on and it rides up on the clutch or appears too.Up around 500-1000rpm more than it should does this sound like the clutch is weak,any way of testing it,cause only bought the car say 1000kms ago so its been babied.(no burnouts)yet! any ideas on whats going on and the price of a clutch standard and performance replacement.Please help.

I got a daiken H/D button clutch, cost me $500. Not a bad replacement, and can hold a fair bit of punch too. I got quoted $250 for a standard clutch. (these prices don't include fitting).

yeah when i bought my car i found out a week later that my clutch was slipping in those gears, when i hit boost in 4th and 5th. It eventually got worse and started doing it in 3rd on boost.

I got a heavy duty daiken excedy clutch for about $420 plus $200 to fix it. so for under $700 u should be out of trouble. I recommend a daiken heavy duty, im happy with it for the sort of power i am running (near stock)

go to a mechanic and get them to adjust the freeplay of the clutch... so that it engages lower down..... should take a few minutes...
