I have yet to see an R34 with a factory immobiliser, if there is one it was probably retrofitted at dealership in Japan. If you are looking for an Insurance approved immobiliser then this will probably won't be accepted by insurance company, but you wont know this until after your car is stolen. The V35's have a factory immobiliser which is the same sytem found in Aussie Spec Nissan's such as the 350Z but the ADR still does not accept these and will not compliance a vehicle for that reason (in NSW at least).

you mean the alpine/nissan dealer fitted item. thats a piece of crap that should have been pulled when they did the job. it does nothing more than lay on the horn.

leon,

they still adhere to ADR 82/00. depends on the RAW as well. some dodge it some comply. mind you some of the adr immobiliser fitments I haev seen over the years still scare the shit out of me. (and wondering how the didnt destroy or burn the car down!)

CKV 36 is a different critter. I helped a local RAW out with that one as I didn't feel like dicking around with a CAN powered car.

and get it done properly!

Thats the hardest part,, finding a kickass installer to do it right the first time...lol

not zip ties your sensors to the brake pedals , and runs the wires to the cig lighter for power or piggybacks the fuses for power

uses a light globe test light for computer controlled cars to test for power...hahaha

mounts the siren in the front grill or next to the turbo to melt...oh the list goes on and on...
