Ok guys after doing some research it seems like the Subaru side feed yellow top injectors can work on the 25det

Alot of Sr20 guys are doing the swap and says it fits as oem in the rail, are high imp,and just the connectors are different.

The problem is a little confusion over the USDM which claims their own is 550cc or thereabouts and the JDM spec which is 440cc for the same yellow tops

The JDM seem to have this on the EJ20 twin turbo out of the Legacy an the USDM out of the STI.

If this is true i can't believe there is no info on SAU to support this...... yes i've searched!!!

Anyone have any further info on this???? Sounds like a better option than the rx7 side feeds that need the collar to work.....and not to mention cheaper!!!

imo - upgrade to either RX7's or the S15R 480's. More headroom for *futre boost bugs.

*future - edit

The Rx7 needs a collar to work and the connectors are different also.

S15 are verrrry hard to source here so its not an option.

I can confirm 90% that the Subaru yellow tops fit in the rb25/sr20 rails without modification and i know the USDM Ej25 STI has these said injectors just need to confirm if the JDM spec out of the Ej20 twin turbo Legacy are 440cc or 550cc for the same yellow tops.

Some part numbers for the two would be nice!!!

The 02-03B4 TT run 440cc Injectors.

I assume this is JDM spec as only the JDM Legacy came TT right?

Does anyone have part nos. for the US spec Sti and the Jdm Legacy yellow top injectors so we can compare???

USDM STi injectors are multi-oriface and 550 cc./min. Likewise, it's very easy to max them out on the original car and they put up with 100% IDC without fluttering, so they're pretty darn tough. Many injectors won't deal with much past ~85%. I used to tune Scoobies and I pegged them on plenty of cars with no det.

they are good injectors, I tested them when looking at producing hiflows. they flow just like oem injectors and as mentioned apart from having to chop up your loom and wire in new plugs they fit. the reason no one often goes for a set of these is because they are expensive once you buy 2 sets even if you buy 3 sets and split them. you also have to source at least 2 sets of injectors.

this is the reason I went with hiflowing the standard units. cost and having to modify the loom.

Was looking into this again and realized that both the Ej20 single turbo and the Ej20 twin turbo have what looks to be the physically same yellow side feed injector.

So the question now is...... are the single turbo yellow and twin turbo yellow JDM injectors the same size???
