then get a booster.

although i used to have my aerial go into the vcr, then out of the vcr into the set top box, then out of the set top box to the tv with both the vcr and set top box hooked into the tv via rca leads. now i have it the set top box gets the signal first and vcr second and the vcr also gets the rca leads from the set top box so i can tape digiat channels.

well how else am i supposed to tape stuff until i get a ps3 and playtv? i'm not enough of a nerd to have a media centre, and i honestly don't watch that much tv.

but i do have a SNES and sega megadrive, plus a N64, xbox and ps2. most of the consoles i only have about 5 games for except for the ps2, which i have about 20

Sometimes it cuts the ass off the show which sucks. You'd think digital channels would send a digital 'marker' at the start and finish of a program.

If they do that it would be easier to record and fast forward the ads, they don't want that, they want you to sit there and watch the Ads so they make it harder to record it.

you can set it to start a few minutes early and finish a few minutes late, we do this and it always gets the whole show

No not the start and finish of the program segments. The start and finish of the whole program.

So it records from the very beginning to the very end. Not just the bits of the actual show.

"you can set it to start a few minutes early and finish a few minutes late, we do this and it always gets the whole show"

Where's this setting? In the options?

yeah when it asks to 'set recording' just go down and i think the defauls says 'start on time' and below that 'finish on time' you just press up or down on the sticks the set the time then go back up and set recording.

After this is done you can go back into the gude view and you will see your recording set in red and little orange bits overlapping into the shows on either side indicating that your recording will capture a little part of those shows

you can search the next 7 days and it will record anything matching that description

Really, i know you can search but then you have to go through the process of recording each of them one at a time.

Its also not exactly what im talkinf about, when you record something now you get an option to record once, daily or weekly, the option i want is the same thing but for the whole series untill i tell it not to anymore.

could you repeat that please, could all i heard was "i'm a whiney little bitch" bahahaha

sorry mate, couldn't resist it.

couldn't you just simply set it to record weekly then just turn that off once the show has ended. generally they don't move shows around too much.

do u have to keep the ps3 running while it records - like say u wana record something while ur at work, do u just set up the epg and then leave the ps3 running or can u set it and then turn it off?

im thinking about getting one

You turn it off, it will start and record the program then turn its self off, even while it is recording you can turn it off, it will get to a certain point and you leave it there once recording is finished it will turn its self off.

    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
