If at all possible, find out if any blood was taken from her.

I'm sure that you would have been breath tested by Police, but she should have been tested too.

I'd also be finding out where she had been beforehand.

If she had recently left a pub/club and was under the influence of alcohol, then the pub/club has a duty of care to her as well.

(IE; it's against the law to serve alcohol to an intoxicated person)

I've never known a sober person to fling themself in front of a car.

Go get some legal advice.

Glad that you and your passengers are OK.

They do a wicked job of polishing inside and out. Also, that Impul R33R front bar on your car, was that purchased from a company in Braeside??? Because it looks like a copy of my front bar. :)

i tried calling twice on saturday and i went down to the station in person today and the cop that came to the accident wont return my calls so dont even know the ladies name.. I know as much now as I did 5mins after it happened on Friday night.

Sorry to hear it dude. That really sucks.

For one headlight you can try UP Imports, thats where i got mine, I used the website (www.upimports.com.au) but its located in dandenong I believe, Not sure how far out of melbourne that is but yeh. Best wishes mate.

hmm, sounds like they're deliberately trying to avoid you speaking to the pedestrian. At least you've made the effort though.

I wonder whether she was actually drunk at the time? They say a large majority (over 50% i think it is) are actually intoxicated, which basically in my eye makes it not your fault at all. Unfortunately they will still put that down for "injuries and deaths on VIC roads" or similar and these statistics are used to skew results and justify revenue raising tactics.

Hope she is ok, and it doesn't turn into a big legal crap-fight.

OMG

i hope u are alrite about this

and i hope that chick is safe and sound so she can get up and pay for the damages she did to ur car! look at that!! unblivable! careless pedestrians like her should learn to walk at a PEDESTRIAN CROSSING or look before you step out...noways your fault SKYL9 from what i read...tell me if all accidents involving cars and pedestrians totally the drivers fault then the world is living with no fairness.

yeah, what Al said too.. Speak to a lawyer for advice RIGHT AWAY.. Even if you have to pay $100 for the privelege, that could save you a lot down the track.

If it is wet the court could say you weren't driving "in line with the conditions of the time" and that could be nasty. You never know, but things can quickly swing around and worst case her dad is a lawyer or something (the worst slime that can exist festering in your toilet bowl)

Surely..... for insurance purposes they need to give you her details?

If you want to make a claim with your insurance company, won't they need details?

Sounds like somethings a bit dodgey.

I'm sure they wouldn't deny her your details, so why are her details being withheld?

Legal advice ASAP.

Just see a lawyer ASAP.

Something as simple as saying "I hit a pedestrian" when you should be saying "A pedestrian jumped out in front of my car." or saying "I didn't see her." to the wrong person could put your a$$ in a sling. :Bang: <- your life

DO NOT TALK TO ANYBODY ABOUT THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE GOT LEGAL ADVICE!

You can bet your lefty that some bottom feeding liability lawyer will jump on this with both feet. And you will be his target. :blast:

"Your honour, this HOON in his fast car nearly killed my client who was just crossing the road minding her own business. She deserves $5 million compensation."

BULL$HIT, If it went down as you describe then she should be paying for the damage to your car. (may she have a speedy recovery, but she trashed your car man)
