:D She got there a bit early and was upset with me that I had sent her too early. She was really impressed with the calendar too! I missed out on my month of October though :D
well done on calenders flick only 1 problem i see no pic of me :D

I'd say heslo's pic for dec is by far the best

would love to see more variety next year

only problem is flick didnt have enough high quality pictures to choose from - when we say high quality, we mean printworthy

she had to use some less than standard images to display some very superior vehicles this year which is a shame

I hope that anyone who is wishing they were in it please do the hard yards and take some nice photos of your baby

We can arrange several dates throught the year for the sake of photoshoots, pending of course the approval of sausa

Would be an excellent cruise, bbq, and most of all scenic run for everyone to take photos (pros, amateurs and dunces alike)

One point I would like to suggest for next years calendar - If you have no inclination of letting your numberplate shown, please remove the numberplate before taking the pictures :D I really hate seeing a big white photoshopped rectangle... I rep the "D" plates all the time fo rizzl yo

reminds me of the big yellow dot they used to put in porno mags

*sigh*

well mine was "printworthy"

so just over looked not to worry

oh im not doubting that it could be a really wicked photo and all

but for a certain amount of inches printed, there has to be a certain resolution of pixels to fill that

thats why my A3 display template is 30,000x24,000 pixels, and thats just for text - not needed when on a PC but needed when doing 1:1 printing on a pro grade printer... I can guarantee you that 95% of the photos submitted would not have made the grade, because if it doesnt then the printout looks really bad ... make sure u let me know when ur car is ready for combat and I'll take some damn nice pics for you, and make sure that we get some pros like sapphiregfx and hostile in for the cause too

I just want to say thanks to everyone that submitted photos. Im sorry if I missed yours out, I mustve over looked it. Ive had alot going on besides this and have been very busy.

I was a bit dissapointed at the lack of photos submitted, and of the quality of some of them. People had since August but I still struggled with quality and quantity. Special thanks to the people who went out of their way to take some wonderfull shots for the calender.

Im still happy with the calender though and am proud of my work, I enjoy doing this. I make nothing from this, infact I have to pay the setup fee out of my own pocket, but I dont mind as I enjoy getting them made for SAU members.

I agree about number plates and im sorry about that, I worked with what I had submitted.. It can only get better each year right?

Thanks again for the calender Flick, its really good. Ben (Nugzy), i will drop yours off sometime next week when i am not working, so sometime after Wednesday.

    • Yeah. "New pump" does not have to mean "massive pump".
    • Well, can you still get an OEM pump, and by the time you're buying a Nismo/N1 etc, just buy another aftermarket pump. It's better to have the pump able to flow more if its needed, than for your pressure to drop off. At any point in time, you're replacing the oil pump in a rebuild. Aftermarket pumps are likely going to be a better economical choice, and they don't have any negatives, even if they can flow more.   Also, when you're saying "replace the pump gears" are you meaning leave a 25+ year old housing in the engine with unknown wear, and just put new gears in? As that sounds silly to me, especially if you do have that minute amount of wear, that means your new pump gears now have a little bit more clearance beside them, which means, whelp, you may not get to build a lot of oil pressure or make a lot of flow.
    • Right, but if you replace the pump gears + put a spline or sine drive gear on the crank on a Nismo/OEM/N1/etc pump at that point do you really still want more flow/oil pressure? Let's say this is a the aforementioned "keep it simple" build, no more than ~400 kW at the crank.
    • Strength. And on the early RB26, full engagement of the pump drive.
    • I really don't understand the point of aftermarket oil pumps if your particular engine doesn't need more oil pressure. As far as I can make sense of it the problem seems to be cavitation from sucking air, maybe the pump gear design with how it interfaces with the OEM crank, and maybe the backing plate screws wanting to loosen themselves. How does flowing more oil fix these issues?
