Not looking good for me fellas......

Fatz, I don't think the Auto, Single Spinner, heavy, 4 door, underpowered Gloria would be much good at drifting, especially in the dry - I tried drifting it once (on the private track near my house *cough*) but she is just not built for it I think.

The Corolla would have a better chance but. :)

Will you be showing up if your car isnt ready for tommorow Brendan?

I can give you a lift out there - i'll speak to you tonight at dinner.

All set to go... just gotta see what the weather is doing in the morning to decide which set of tyres gets destroyed first!

Can't wait... I'm going to bed now so it comes round faster.

Dan.

I'm gonna hit the sack too, but I never fall asleep if i go to bed before midnight. grr.

Didn't get a chance to prepare my onboard cam or grab another set of tyres but should be fun anyway! At least the brakes work and my lighter hip pocket won't slow me down at all :)

See the northsiders at forestway RTA at some ungodly hour.. ;)

If you Northside ppl see this post, go without me.

I'll be goind to check out the isssue with my R33 - If they can fix it by lunch, I'll come down.

If it looks like it will take a while, I 'might' bring Gloria, but only run if it is wet....

Fatz, If I don't make it - I'm good for the extra $50 if you don't get all the numbers......

What a day... A big thanks to Fatz for organising that... I was so knackered when I got home that I had a beer, some dinner and went to bed... That last circuit was awesome.

My driver of the day would have to be fatz... watching him link 90% of the circuit was amazing!

For Best Newbie I would have to say... Good on ya Kinks, you had the R31 hanging out there very nicely... and a nice car also!

Most improved, certainly must go to MRK-25T... huge improvement!:P

I'm ready for the next one... when is that going to be?

Dan.

Echo Dan's words. I came home, decided making dinner was too much effort and ordered pizza, then watched a movie. Had a top day though, thanks for the newbie award Dan :P

Mark made a very good effort at getting his car sideways too, well done mate :)

Thanks again to Pete for organising and running the day, and Aaron for his willingness to run the day out on the circuit keeping us safe and entertained. I'd do another drift day in a heartbeat.

I'd do another drift day in a heartbeat.

As would I. :D

Top day, thanks to Fatz and Aaron McGill for organising it.

It was great were able to get five cars out on the track all at once towards the end of the day, so everyone got enough track time to do their sideways thang.

Put me down for the next one too! :(

EDIT: ...and I found it's possible to drift a 180SX even with stock suspension and stock differential, so no more excuses from anyone. :(

A big thank you to Aaron and Pete for organising the day.

Thank you to Dan for getting in my car and teaching me how to drift around that main corner. Surprisingly I wasn't shitting bricks in Dans car when he took me for a session around the course. He has his car on a lead drifting around that circuit which has left me wondering how the f&ck he does it.

Another thank you to Carlo who also jumped in the car with me. Both guys made my day more enjoyable. I started as a nervous nelly going around only the main corner with a bit of tyre screech sh&t scared of writing off my car. I finished being less nervous, more controlled while at the same time getting the arse out slightly after my two friends helped me.

I had a headache after lunch so didn't go back onto the course. I've been driving the porclin (sp) bus all night.

Good to meet you Mal (he's a top bloke). I can't wait to see the Stagea once it arrives in Sydney.

Thanks again to Carlo and slo200 (Daren) for the company back to the Northern beaches.

My standouts for the day were Dan. Pete, the green drift car, the black r32, the maroon supra with black bonnet, slo200 , and the black r32 gtr with god only knows how much power - he had balls going around the circuit in the rain with that amount of power at his right foot.

I've just been on the SkylinesNSW web page and "Will" has posted a link to his photos from the day at: http://www.driftr.com/driftday/
