Hi Flow Cat

Hi guys,

im new to this website and this is my first post

ive just bought a 32 GTS-t and im looking into getting a new dump/front pipe and hi flow cat,

i was just wonering about the cat however, there are heaps of 3 inch "Hi Flow" cats available ranging from $160 to about $400.

i was just wanting to get some advise on which one to purchase.

i can get a catco 3" hi flow cat for around $175

or then i can get a catco 3" hi flow metal race cat for $379

does any one know what the difference in performance is, and is it worth the extra $200+ dollars

any advice is greatly appreciated,

if you're gonna get the metal one, get one thats epa approved. I heard Metalcat (the brand) are legal. Not sure about Catco. Current I'm running the ceramic Catco one but when I'm a lil more serious, I'll get a proper metal one.

Metal Cat state in their advertisements that they are full on EPA legal. Cos they could be lying, but with big full page ads it would be hard to justify.

I wouldn't worry about a bigger cat unless you are around or over 240rwkw, you won't need it. Save your $$$ and buy a PFC or Vipec - you can replace it when you get closer.

hav 5" high-flow cat. if you got more than 200kw better hav one. btw bought mine for 500 from liverpool exaust

i got a metal hi flow as well , didn't notice much difference between stock and metal
