as topic states i did a u turn at the corner of cowpasture road and collarenebri road after i bought some kfc, theres no signs there that say you cant do a u turn and the arrow was green for me to go rght so i did a u turn (as i have been doing for many years) to get back to my home. The officer said "you can only do a u turn where it says you can do a u turn, if it doesnt say it you cant do it" what a load of shit.

Anyone know where i can get more information to argue my case?

i did not get a on the spot fine because th officer said he would send it in the post.

cheers in advance for any info

oh well i wont get my hopes up or anything but i'll see what happens, as long as it isnt an inspection letter i'll be happy for whatever else, if i do get something in the mail i could ask for leniency as i havent slept for 36 hours due to my mother being in a critical condition in hospital. Although it isnt nice to take advantage of this situation any money i can save just means more time off from work to be there with her.

cheers for all the input

hahah melbourne, they also turn left from the right lane and left from the right lane, bloody trams. Just for future reference in NSW you can only do U-turns when a sign says you can (unless its changed now), just to be safe thats what i do most of the time, or just turn into a side street or use a driveway because there was a time when i only had 3 demerit point spots left and i didnt wanna risk loosing my lisence again lol..... hey everyone does Ueeys every now and then, just be safe lol, and if a cop sees you, then your in big doo doo. Its mainly because our traffic lights arn't programmed to allow for U turns where as melbourne's are, however you may think this is a stupid thing, you may ask why we dont program our traffic lights for it aswell? Basically if you have driven around melbourne you will notice there intersections are generally (not always) more conjested, their lights seem to take ages to change.... ect.... thats because some of their traffic lights allow for u turns and stuff....

also i recon our traffic lights look much better than theirs... but their freeway system is much better than ours
