Problems When Connecting Ps3 To The Net

Hey guys, so finally tried to connect my ps3 to the net, and the problem i'm having is that everytime i go click internet settings, the ps3 freezes, i've got adsl2 at home and have 2 laptops connected to it, anyone can help me out?

that is weird. I've never heard of that happening. years ago when I first got my PS3 I just had it connected wirelessly to my home (unsecured) wireless network and it was a piece of piss. when I went to the new place in an apartment building in the city I naturally chose to secure my network with a WEP key and for some reason it took me a fair bit longer to get the PS3 to work with it (maybe 20 mins of stuffing around with settings) but never had it freeze up ever?

are you connecting via wireless? i get that somtimes, try ethernet, if its too far away, use ethernet via your laptop, connect laptop to net, enable internet sharing, and plug ur ps3 into the laptops ethernet port, connect, update, and then try via wireless, other than that, your router might be blocking other mac addresss
