Now that I think about it I am not even sure they have a drivers airbag. Half of them have steel wheels & povvo pack brakes. On the upside you get no active rear diff & a decent set of ratios in the 5 speed box (Not 6) plus some other fun stuff.

At the end of the day they come like that (stripped) so people can use them as race/rally cars. for which you don't need compliance. Which begs the question - what do you want it for?

The problem is the airbags. The 5 has neither a passenger nor driver's airbag, both are required for 1998 and later models. On the 6 airbags were optional for the RS's (don't quote me on that, I've simply seen RS's both with and without), and I think from 7 onwards the RS's had dual airbags but again not 100% on that, I've never really looked.

Take it from a former evo owner you would rather the GSR. the RS is a pov pack where everything is optional, meaning the chances of having aircon or power windows are only a touch higher than the brembo brakes that are all factory options on a GSR.

Buy a GSR :)

Yeah I've had 2 evo's before. The reason I wanted an RS is that they're tuffer and I wanted to be a little different. The few I've seen were street trimmed, carpet, air con, brembo but no recaro's on elec windows.

I'll have to stick to a GSR I guess or get an ADM Evo 6.
