Is this "family" car required for a "new" family or older family? I dunno about you guys but the amount of stuff I regularly need to cart around in the boot of my stag would never fit in a sedan (not without things getting broken).

You can survive with a sedan, but I reckon boot space is one of those things you never think you need, until you have it - and then you'll never go back.

Dead on mate. Could not agree more.

Since ive seen the price of stag wagons, i wish i had of got one...GC low kms under 10k...but it had to be turbo (to offset the ugly factor) which i think meant they wouldnt insure my girl until 25.... but yeah good value...

yeah it is for a new family so i expect a messy interior over time

Get an early model Caldina then - the trim in those things looks like a kid has ALREADY vomited on the seats...

haha good call >_< kinda like the patterned carpet they use in rsl clubs haha

oh god, not a TATA. they just go and buy parts (generally left overs) off other manufacturers and make them fit together until they resemble a car.

HAhahaha. True, But TATA are so big they bought Jaguar and Land Rover off Ford. They dont interfere with what the factories do, and fund them as required.

went through this dilemma myself last year, plaenty of good "family" cars floating around.

Mitsubishi Legnum TT

Mitsubishi Galant TT

Toyota Aristo TT

Nissan Stagea

only drama with these cars is, manuals are hard to come across if even an option.

plus I don't think the Aristo has the boot space for what he/she needs.
