Hey Guys

I have an rb25/30 in my 33 series 1. It has 850 sards, a gt35r and 45mm external gate (plumbed into exhaust).

I am located in Townsville

Does anyone know someone up here that would give me a mod plate? I'm not ONLY after some dodgy up cash job (although that would be nice). I am happy to go to a business and do it all properly I was just wondering if anyone up this way has gotten mod plates, if so what were they for, how much did it cost and who did you get it/them through? ESPECIALLY after anyone else who has done the twin cam 3L legally.

Cheers

Lukas

Just a bit of info for anyone else who is looking into getting mod plates for their car. I just rang up the engineer and he said that they can easily do rb25/30 here in Queensland. Just have to make sure there is 20mm clearance or hoses etc so there is no rubbing and that the car meets the emissions standard. The engineers do all of the emissions testing in house. The transport department has nothing to do with it. I phoned Queensland transport and the lady on the phone said that they do not do compulsory emissions testing to check your vehicles emissions, it is all up to the engineer who is inspecting the car and issuing the plate/certificate.

I will obviously keep this thread updated with my progress on actually getting my modification plate. I now just need to look into getting a nice new cat to help clean up those exhaust gasses and look into fitting a carbon canister and getting the envirotune :P

On a side not anyone who has a carbon canister with lines preferably that they want to get rid of Im all ears :D

Update on getting my car legal:

I spoke to the tuners today. They said that I should leave on the stock cat, connect up the carbon canister and put in the stock injectors and have a very very mild tune for when I go in for emissions. Dont know how that will go seeing as I have a 45mm wastegate with a 20psi spring. Maybe I could just take out the springs all together

Does anyone have any other suggestions as for what I should do?

I would love to try bribing but I doubt it will work
