Doesn't grind, it just won't move. It does go into gear when the engine is off so i think that usually means it's not the clutch.

If it goes into gear when engine is of then its more than likely that the clutch is your problem not as you stated above because when the shafts are not spinning you wont need to push in the clutch to get a gear.

Ok just some more info, it appears that the clutch won't release properly. Even with clutch pedal completely depressed, the car starts slowly crawling forward. It must be releasing a little bit because with the foot on the brake, it doesn't stall. Any ideas?

It's 100% your clutch in this instance.

Start at the slave cylinder and work back. If it is engaging the clutch fork properly then your clutch pressure plate will be worn. If there is buggerall travel in the clutch fork then it is something hydraulic, possible a stuffed slave cylinder. Watch the reservoir as someone pushes the clutch pedal in and out...see if the fluid goes down or not.

go check your clutch reservoir if you have fluids... if so, then try bleed your slave cylinder, as you may have air in the system.

same exact thing happen to me yesterday and fixed it today, though the clutch pedal doesn't feel as great as it used to be.(might be a hydraulic issue as well for me)
