Hi Guys

What have you guys done when you have a 3" inlet on your turbo but the stock intake pipe is only 2"(there abouts), I'm thinking i may have to make something up. at first i was thinking a reducer but you wouldnt want to go from 2"-> 3". Just wondering if anyone knows what to do or where to find.

oh gee never thought of that! what about the pipes that come out of it? i asked what people have used and where it can be found so dont be a smart ass

clearly you didn't.

just get 3" hose, and any fabricator can do the rest, its just pipe afterall. even an exhaust place

for the compressor outlet - totally depends. might be better to weld a metal elbow on, then use silicone piping there after.

silicone piping can be found anywhere. enzed, purple cop, his hose, pirtek etc.

Its fairly easy. Just go to a zorst joint, pick up x2 3" 45 deg mandrel bends, after a bit of looking a measuring, just cut them to suit and then joint with silicon.

If you have access to a welder then weld them together.

For the 2 small pipes, thats a little tricker. You can use the factory metal pipes; chop the ends off, weld them to the intake pipe, then use a piece of rubber hose to joint the two.

Its a bit of fart-arsing around but its do-able, but you need a welder to do the smaller pipes.

To fit them to your stock cooler pipe and intake pipe

You need:

3inch straight silicon hose with 2.5 inch metal sleeve

2.5 inch 90 degrees angle hose with 2inch metal sleeve

4x strong T-bolt clamps

2.5inch sleeve goes into stock rubber pipe, clamp the 3inch hose on top of the pipe and turbo's inlet

2inch sleeve goes into one end of the 90 degrees 2inch angle hose with one end clamped to the turbo, the sleeve end inserts into the black intercooler pipe.

Clamp tight. I've tried them with 25psi and seems to be fine.

This is a cheap way to get you out of trouble. Preferred to have proper metal intake pipe and cooler pipe made up.

cheers guys, doo doo Ill give you a ring next week mate :) ill bring my stock intake pipe as a sort of example. As im still running plumback bov and blah blah. Was just hoping someone had already made this and they were ready off the shelf somewhere, All good though, THanks!
