Sau Vic Stickers

Recommended Posts

Few things - random order, gotta be brief, not much time spare atm. so not being rude - just answering fast

1. You cannot get club stickers, unless you are a member.

That is part of the deal. Membership = stickers. No membership = no sticker.

2. You do not get new stickers each year. If you need new ones, members can email and get som

or checkout online

3. Ash-s13 - i saw your email, Bec forwarded it on the other day. She is absolutely flat out at the moment preparing club trophies. You will just have to be patient as they take priority above anything from the general forum unfortunately as they are critical to club end of year proceedings.

Unfortunately committee is not a full time paying job - we have our own lives to manage first on top of club stuff

It would be a nice inclusion to receive a couple of new SAU vic stickers with a yearly membership renewal.. they don't cost much.

True, I agree, but on the other hand the stickers aren't much, put the payment through with the renewal. Membership prices have stayed the same for a while IIRC, So they club has to cover costs from somewhere.

My opinion. If I have bought a new car and need new stickers, surely $5 on top of a new car isn't going to kill me.

It would be a nice inclusion to receive a couple of new SAU vic stickers with a yearly membership renewal.. they don't cost much.

Do you honestly need stickers every year?

If we did that, honestly, renewal would go up in price. As we said @ the AGM (i notice you were not there )... And Ryan has already alluded too (he was there :D)

We are trying out best to keep costs the same. 5 years has seen no increase, yet everything around us is costing more each year.

To do stickers each year would unquestionably alter that standing... and for the most part I'm not sure overall, that all members would receive that well.

The stickers are not cheap ones as far as stickers go, so they do last 3-4 years without much of a worry (hence we get good ones to start).

I mean yeah look some people change cars often, love fresh stuff etc - but the golden question - does the majority? :D

Lol I don't really care that much Ash... just a thought. I had other plans the night of the AGM, but stickers is not something i would even bother mentioning if i was there. It is good to see the membership renewal fees have not increased.

Btw, I'm not questioning the quality of the stickers, but they cost less than $2 in materials to buy at volume, so you can't say they would break the SAU budget dude

Oh not saying you were - was just making a general statement in relation to member fee's going up if we did that.

$2 perhaps, but that is $2 per year. $2 x 300+ = $600+/yr we need to find. So over 5 years... 3k

That without question is higher membership fee's, so ye, they actually would. Anything extra would.

Rossco - treasurer has wanted to up Mship fee's last year, however im trying to hold him off :D

lol i know - its just what he does - but i do what i do to... argue with him

Ye i think our Finances are exceptionally well managed for our size.

We are also in a good spot to hopefully run our own track day next year provided the stars align for us (lots of consideration)...

Only good financial planning the past years has allowed this so it's not about to change :D

Ash - I did respond to your email, here's another copy for you:

Hi Ash,

I do not have record of you being a current member, so I am unable to sell you item No.1.

If you are still interested, I can sell you the URL and the Lanyard.

There is also a $5 postage and handling fee. So your total order cost would be $15.

Alternatively, you could come along to the next general meeting at Bell's Hotel on Tuesday 15 December to collect the items and not incur the postage fee.

Let me know what you would like to do.

If you want to go ahead, I will provide you with our bank details.

Cheers,

Bec

membership gives you access to CAMS license as well, PI and Sandown :)

Yep guys all good, I didn't realise you needed to be a paying member of sauvic. I only thought you had to be on sau. Will sign up then
And not support SAU-VIC?

There has not been a track day i have wanted/been able to go to or any cruise so should i just pay my membership just to get stickers so other forum members know im a member of the sau forum?

Especially now that my car is off the road and most likely wont be used again for around 12 months?

Once the car is up to scratch i will join sau vic but untill then i just wanted something to show that im a member on sau, i even bought 2 sets and will be putting the second set on the fairlane that i will be driving for the next 12 months.

^^ Or sell the second set to me?

Yeah im in the same boat, wanted something to show that i'm a member of sau but not really ready for track days, car's still getting up to scratch...oh wells guess i'll just have to wait til it is

    • Throwing my spoon to the soup here a bit.  When I installed a 044 back in 2012, along with the direct power mod, the car became very difficult to start. To a point I burned one starter motor as I was late for work and tried to get the thing going. With some tuning and careful use of gas pedal when cranking it became bearable. Trying to make this short as possible, but the 044 died after 2-3 years, after which I went with an AEM 320lph pump, which also died after about 4 years to my dismay. After that I went with a Nismo pump, and while trying diagnose an emissions problem, I noticed for the first time that my fuel pressure was 5bar/72psi on idle, and that removing the vacuum line did nothing. After monitoring the situation, and removing the direct power feed and going back to FPCM in attempts to remedy it, I noticed there was fuel in the pressure regulator vac line. Kept the FPCM, installed AEM external regu and the car became sooo much better in every way, including starting. And I had driven it like it was for 11 years.. Anyway, I agree these are likely two different problems, and the FP problem you just haven't noticed before. I do not know much about haltecs, but what first came to mind was the CAS, which probably is not there any more. So how is the wiring from haltec to gauge cluster? How is the battery voltage and alternator?
    • Your car was auto before? You have different diff ratio (auto vs manual i think? or n/a and turbo?)
    • +1 for getting a screen off alibaba, CarPlay/Android Auto is vastly better than whatever navigation cars had 10 years ago. I got an Android screen for my 2015 BMW, huge difference. Fully compatible with factory stuff including iDrive controls.
