Only autos have a dipstick.

In a manual 'box, the only way to check is to remove the filler plug. The oil should be just below the level of the filler hole.

(Don't forget to make sure the car is level)

if it hasent been changed since u got the car or it hasent been changed at all its a good time to change it and learn about your car. Doing your own maintenence also helps u know what stuff u are putting in your car and how much thier is supposed to be. blind_elk stated how to do it. Rob
