If thats LEDA suspension and Brendale, the guy is a legend! He has done most of the work on my dad's clubman. Really knows his stuff, build lots of purpose built race cars, like sports sedans, all his knowledge is from experience not a how to hand book. Very good, and reasonable, realistic prices. He has worked on my mini and was very happy, haven't taken the line there yet as I moved to the Southside and it a bit of an effort to get there.

Hows about Gold Coast Suspensions. (07)55914488

They specialise in Drag and Race/Rally units and are Import and Electronic suspension specialists.

Do very good work apparantly (haven't been there myself, but have heard good things)

Fulcrum parts are good (car has all their bushes installed) , but they over charge like you would not believe for labour. I got a quote to change by struts and springs, come in at $400 so a mate and I did it in my driveway in under an hour. The longest part was compressing the springs with they would have done using a rattle gun.

Buy there stuff and have installed elsewhere.

Agreed, I got my shocks and whiteline gear through them, but when I asked how much to install, I nearly fell over. So I went home and did it myself in two hours and got a wheel alignment afterwards. They are good just their labour is hell expensive.

thanks for the suggestions.

however, I have decided to just get the settings I need from the last place that set it up (in sydney) and will just get the local bob jane to tweak it as required.

out of curiosity, which suburb is Leda in?

Leda is in Strathpine/Brendale, probably a bit of a drive for you. I went there this morning to get a new threaded spring seat machined for my coilovers. They are very good. I always like walking into a workshop with rollcages and race prepared shells lying around. I usually deal with Ron, the other guy in there is Bruce.

Last time I used Bob Jane they did a pretty average job, the cambers were out by 1/2deg on each side. They said it was worn bushes which was shyte as I had them replaced just before.

I'd suggest using Tyre Tech in Albion for general setup etc. The guys there are brilliant and most of them race. When they set up the car it was 1.37, 1.38 from left to right. In other words "Spot On".

do these places deal with just 'normal' skylines ?

i need to get the camber on my rear tyres looked at badly

Whats normal? I have taken the mini and the gemini to Leda many times. Great guys. He had a nice 180B in the mix this morning too!

I am sure if its possible to reco the coil-overs it wouldn't be a problem, have never asked them to do that, a spring is a spring so springs shouldn't be a problem either, you tell them the spring rates you want and I am sure they could organise something, I highly doubt they would get Jap brands though. They do heaps of custom suspension work with clubmans, hot rods and building full race chassis, I am sure any problem with a road car could be solved.

i am thinking of fitting my coilovers at accurate suspension. anyone had any experience? is leda better? does anyone know the advantages of weighing each corner? should this be done with driver in the car? do most suspension places have the C-wrenches to adjust the height. mine are ohlins coilovers, are they different from say, tein or gab?
