Hi all,

I have managed to get my hands on a TD06 19C turbo with what looks to be a Trust '3 bolt' 8cm exhaust housing.

Can someone in the know please give me some information as to what this turbo would bolt to and/ or was it a particular upgrade to a type of vehicle?

It's a different configuration to what my Subaru would use and a little on the large side for what I use the car for - so will likely have it balanced and then sell it.

Thanks in advance for your assistance - as I know very little about these types of turbos.

Cheers.

Daz.

if by setup you mean ease of installation;

you'll need an external wastegate, so you'll need to get some kind of spacer to be able to mount one, get a new manifold with a mount for it on OR get a flange for one welded onto your standard manifold. also new oil and maybe a water feed and return made up.

you'll need a new intake pipe, a hot-pipe to the intercooler made up as well as a new dump pipe.

you will also need a decent ECU, injectors and coil packs at the very least to be able to run it properly.

it will pretty much need all the work it would take any other sized turbo to mount but anyone buying it would already know this.

Hey Darren, it's not a bolt on affair due to the flange type of the Trust turbo's, but no different than fitting up a HKS 3037 etc in that it will require a new Ex. gate manifold with a flange to suit the Trust type, as well as obviously the ex. gate itself, dump, lines etc.

They are marginally more difficult to fit as there are not heaps of manifolds that can be bought off the shelf from China to suit, so it takes away a lot of the crowd not willing to spend the cash. Ideally someone would get a custom steam pipe manifold, or one available off the shelf from 6Boost/Powertune etc and the flange can be added at the time of construction.

This manifold is like 300 bucks. Seem to be of great quality since all the manifold they make for our vehicles are on ebay...lol.

Thanks a million for the replies, fellas!

I don't know the configuration of a Skyline turbo and by the sounds of things, this turbo is the same!

I will proceed in having it tested and balanced and will put it up for sale on here in the next couple of weeks.

Am I right in assuming these sorts of turbos sell used for around $750 - $1000?

Hey Darren, it's not the same as a Skyline Turbo flange. Trust flanges are exclusive to Trust, but it will suit some Nissan 2lt engines, but is not a straight bolt on affair (new manifold requires, as well as auxillaries).

As for price, I've not seena 19c for sale for a while, but that seems quite reasonable.

    • Hey everyone!!  I've noticed that whenever I do my oil changes, after putting 4L in, the oil level sits at the top mark in the dipstick. This is after letting the old oil drain for a very long time too! I've checked the oil level daily for the past few mornings. It happens every time and it's confusing because all the threads say that it should take about 4.7L (With some just adding the full 5L) My next thought is to figure out if the dipstick I have is correct so could someone please tell me the length of the RB25DET engine oil dipstick?  I've checked images of some of the genuine dipsticks, but none of them have the length in it. https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-engine-oil-level-dipstick-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-stagea-c35-laurel-y34-cedric-gloria-rb25de-t-neo?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOortQXofgmiHVRKuIaiKuygL4k0Ewp68c3isGZk0vvKOJ7Yqf3iB However.... the engraving on the genuine ones say 05002 while mine says AA000. This makes me believe that maybe I have a wrong dipstick? I just want to confirm before I buy a new one. The car is a fresh import from Japan so I don't have details of the previous owner to ask him. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
    • Sport. I didn’t rebleed it cause I just removed the slave and left connected.    I will change line and slave and see how it goes.
    • Oh and how is the rattle when foot is on the clutch ?
    • Did you get the sport or track ? From what the documentation says the uniclutch has a small amount of movement to disengage.  So your story of tricky pedal setup seems common.    Hopefully you got it bled up too, as the bite point moving around is usually either plates wearing in or air in the line.
