As title states, how do I burn an avi file to DVD without having a start up menu?

The only way I have found to do something similar is when using nero and still having a menu but autoplay after 5 seconds or so.

Any ideas?

So you want the file on the DVD as ".AVI"?

If so, just burn as a datadisk in Nero.

It wont make a menu, can still be read by DVD players etc that support AVI. It'll still use the DVD system menu though to select the file

If you want it to be like a DVD - then use what Rush_ said. That will heaps more space of the DVD however.

Use nero vision, choose do not create menu from the drop down box, see picture attached.

Dvd flick, its free, and better than all the above, and its easy, heaps of settings, or auto aswell, i use it all the time, 10/10

edit: thats if you want it to play in a dvd player, you can choose to have menus or not, it makes 700rips look %90 like proper dvd's, hd-rips look like dvd's.

i know, but its true, just like avg free is better than Norton, theres alot of free apps that blow paid apps out the way.

Get a copy of DVD Fab...

Makes video files into DVD player VIDEO and AUDIO folders for you to burn onto a DVD for format uncompatible players...

It also does the norms convert videos to iPhone/iPod and also PSP formats.... rips, shrinks etc
