How To Remove Cigarette Lighter From Gear Surround?

I need to remove the whole cigarette lighter bit from my gear surround so I can wrap my gear surround.

It seems like the plastic around the metal slot is glued to it and I can't remove it.

Can someone help?

If its like the ones in a 33, you need to push out the metal center first then the surround should just twist out.
