Hey guys, im just about to order some more Ryabrig globes for my '33.

For anyones interest, i swear by these globes. Bought my original set in Japan for low beams to test, have had nuthin but "man where the hell did ya get those"

Raybrig Racing Hyper Halogen White Sonic B Style H1

Now, does anyone know the bulb type for the series 1 33 parkers? I emailed Greenline, they didnt know off hand.

I did a search, came up with just people discussing it :D

hey, do raybrig make different models of H1 lights? Cos i went to evolution R in clayton melb, and they were flogging Raybrigs for 187 bucks!!! WTF?!?!

Can i ask how much u are getting them for?

the parkers? u mean the little ones next to the headlights? they are the same as the boot light. take that out and have a look. Are u getting blue lights for them too? if so, which brand r u getting? Me interested

The parking lights are the same in all Skyline models (as far as I know) and are just a generic "wedge bulb"...

Easy way to find one to look at? Your interior dome light. It's the same as the one in your parking lights!

UniqueAutoSports in Castle Hill, NSW sells awesome ones for $15 a pair... They have "Blue" and "Pure White" ones... I bought the Pure White ones to match my Xenons, and they have a beautiful slight blue tinge to them... The blue ones are very very blue :)

what bout the parkers on the side of the front headlights. same deal, wedge type?

Im getting mine for 4890 yen, same as i paid for them in superautobacs in Narita.

Thanks for the infor, ill headup to unique and grab a pair of superwhite.

Just bought all the shit to service, so the cash situation isnt good, Bah humbuug to xmas, it drians your wallet!

i had my parker globes replaced by these fully sick, slightly orange tinged ones...they cost me 50c each from Matascan petrol station/mechanics on Parra Rd Croydon.

Apparently they're good for a couple of kw's at the wheels! :headspin:

i have forsale 1 pure white parker globe, it will suit all skylines, selling for $1.00. its in my glovebox. its an import too, came with the car. :(

Webrats wtf!

EDIT: paste the image location into a fresh browser window and all is good :( Hrmm they look like the lights in my garden lights

doh.

if the image attaching worked properly i wouldnt have had to use webrats. ill try again

Nope still cant attach.

Umm yeah just swap em over to the white/clear bulbs (which I've had for over a year just never been bothered to swap them) and also change my Pod for a standard Airbox (arriving on tues/wed) and then get my car inspected by an AUVIS (Authorised Unregistered Vehicle Inspection Station). That doesn't mean much to me.... im guessing I can't just take it to my normal Pink Slip mechanic instead by a proper Blue Slip mechanic (if thats the case im up shit creek without a paddle) as i've heard theirs only 1 guy that comes to this area around once a month and it costs like $400 or something ????

I bought a whole bunch of lights from autobarn

word of warning, the H3 narva types they sell at autobarn, ARE NOT super white, or even artic white, they are the same old fuzzy white just a tad brighter, so back to the shop with those.

Have had no trubles so far with the new "bluish" parkers.

    • As an ex-skyline owner Going off how these things are now "modern classics", I would keep the twins and just "refresh" bits that are required for reliable power and have a car you can take out for a cruise whenever you get the itch As a idiot who cannot leave things alone Going deep into the "rabbit hole" is a easy thing to do, as previously mentioned, once you start it becomes a slippery slope, wirh lots of supporting mods, and possibly rebuilds, and unless you have a bottomless pit of funds, the car can spend most of its life sitting in the garage,  broken, waiting for parts, or building more funds For a classic like a R32 GTR Basically, a reliable OEM+ refresh, that isn't a broken garage queen, is alot better than a car that you build, then break, then fix, then break again And it isn't just the engine you need to worry about, these beasties are getting on in age, and all parts are getting, and have got, expensive, the days of picking up cheap replacement engines and other driveline parts are well and truly over The funds not spent on going a single with quality parts, and with all the other other bits required to make it happen, could be spent on refreshing alot of other parts A wise man once said "If you cannot afford 2 GTR's, you cannot afford 1", I also believe he said this about 20 years ago when you could pick up a clean R32 GTR up for around $20k My advice for a R32 GTR (the one and only true Godzilla in my mind) is to think holistically about the whole car, the body, the power train, the suspension, the brakes, and the driveline SAU is a wealth of knowledge with decades of Skyline experience,  from stock, to OEM+, to modified to varying degrees, to full on or weekend or dedicated racecars, as well as full on money pits that rarely leave their garage Treat the old girl nice and give her what she deserves, you are a lucky man to own such a classic car
    • For that price you could buy the hypergear turbo (big fan as I run one) and the Haltech ECU..
    • +1 for the Elite 2500. Get some new knock sensors while you are at it (pretty cheap), look up the TAARKS Nissan knock sensor kit. You may also want to get new coils (R35gtr) while your at it (assuming your on stock ones), as they are a liability. Mine started right up and idled fine on the base map. Also go MAP over MAF, as said above, Haltech make this super simple right out the box. Another fanboy of DBW here, Outsider Garage from your neck of the woods make some nice conversion gear for the R33 (that’s where I got some of my gear from).
