I'm a little on the fence with his return. Sure, I do like the bloke, and think he is the second best driver to ever steer an F1 car (behind Senna of course :)), but I think that he should have left his career where he finished it in 2006. Although a driver of his talent will definitely be at the pointy end of the WDC title.

Hopefully the McLaren boys can hand it to him! :D

dont forget to root for one of our own as well... has everyone forgot mark already.....

"There's only one driver other than Michael Schumacher out there that lives, breathes, sleeps, eats Formula One 110% - and that's Mark Webber," Paul Stoddart.

Of course we haven't forgotten Mark. He has a seat next year, and hopefully is as competitive as he was this year.

Obviously if a 7 times champion returns to the sport, it's going to generate a lot of news.

Bought my ticket for next years race. Row A in the Jones stand, pretty much directly in front of the corner.

Seems us Vics may have to pay more for next years race too, as they have yet to secure a major sponsor after ING pulled out this year because of that Renault bullshit.

If i am around i will be going, only thing is after watching F1 in Malaysia last year i would seriously suggest that you save the extra few dollars book a cheap flight and go to Sepang. Viewing is awesome with a view of 1/3 of the track plus a big screen, all for $500 for the weekend. (Fri free) That was the second most expensive stand, which i think was better as the pit lance building obstructs too much of the view.

And its a good weekend away! If others are interested in going shoot me a PM

I think there is a strong chance i will be doing Sepand and Shanghai next year because work will have me in that part of the world again

I could be interested in that Bris, if you have the time to throw some rough package prices at me (tickets/accom etc)..

I shall be there in Sepang Roy! Will be heading back from the HK sevens and am hanging round KL for a few days in order to hit up the race. Should be good! What area do you suggest sitting in for the best views?

Went to the Singapore night race last year and loved it!

Bets bet is to sit at where the 15 is, but not facing the pits. You get a great view of the cars coming down hlaf way between 8 and 9 and you see them all teh way up to the turn in apex for 15. And you havea screen in front of you as well as the big position tower showing the positions all thru the field. Also great as you are in a sense in the infield so out the back of the stand you have toilets and food and drinks!

Yeah, it's bullshit. If his ban has been overturned, they should also refund McLaren's fine from 2007, as well as their constructors championship points aswell lol.

    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
    • Brand was ard.   I also threw a brand new battery at it and beefed up the wire from the alternator to battery and added an extra earthing point from the battery
