i know that uas and just jap sell these, but i want to know who makes them.

All 400r kits fabricated in Aust. are copies.

Occasionally some parts I genuine (I have a real Nismo 400r rear bar).

As far as I know Nismo make them but you can only get replacement parts from Nismo and to do this you have to have a 400R. ALL the fibreglass Aussie ones are copies....some better quality than others but all glass and all only copies

Is it made from the same material as the stock one or is it Fibreglass?? and how did you come across it ....I would dearly love a front bar

I don't know of anyone in Australia who uses plastic like the OEM stuff.

Everyone here is fiberglass.

My bar came with the car.

hmm, caus my mate a pannel beater said that if i get him the detaild of who makes them he can get me cheaper prices because of trade discount or some shit... so what would i tell him?

The thing is that most panel beaters and just that... BEATERS!

What I'm saying is that most smash shops either do their own fiberglassing for their own use or they outsource to one of their "mates".

What you need to do is go by past examples.

If you see a car done by some local mob and it looks like good fit, finish, paint, quality... then you can guess that they might do a good job on your car.

Dude,

I can name three different companies in Sydney who actually MAKE the pieces and then sell them to other places like UAS.

I'm certain Jetspeed make their own. Go to the Vic. forums and ask.
