Melb Solicitor With A Good Machanical Knowlege?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, Im in a really good mood tonight, Im picking my car up tomorrow from a workshop in Bayswater with a freshly built RB26 engine and with great customer service, the car is running like clockwork so it is now time to take it off there hands for my long awaited enjoyment, unfortunately my old engine builder-tuner has been a very very bad boy so I need to take him to court, I intend on giving him one almighty kick in the nuts (so to speak) for what he has done, as I have an outstanding case against him.

I have a couple of solicitors but they dont know the differense between a sparkplug and a fan belt, its not there field so I need someone who specializes in this area so I can sort this out, if anyone knows of or could recommened a solicitor that might fit the bill it would be greatly appeseated. Cheers Guys.

it is irrelevant if your lawyer has mechanicial knowledge or not.

In court a lawyer is not classed as an expert witness when it comes to mechanical.

You will need to get your lawyer to get you an expert witness. The courts have specific guidelines that must be met in order to classify someone as an expert witness. So forget using the ordinary mechanic.

The expert witness can speak in depth about matters in which they are profficient. In this case mechanical.

Usually you pay the costs of the witness as well as your legal costs, unless you win, then you can have the courts award costs to you. Although they may not award the actual cost, just the court perceived cost.

If your lawyer has no idea how to do this or doesnt know about it, go and get a better lawyer and tell them to go back to school.

As stated above, the solicitor doesn't need any mechanical knowledge, they'll just use a qualified person to do a report or appear at court if it comes to that.

You could try Dale Battley of Battley & Co. He handled a recent car related matter for me and did an excellent job. Phone number is 03 9670 0450.

Thanks guys, your are dead right in what you are saying and I do understand, I have an appointment Monday with a solicitor, he loves his cars and picked up on what I was saying much faster than the other two solicitors, you see I don,t want to f@&k this up so I need someone that,s on the ball, good QC are easy to find, with solicitors, I have dealt with many dudes in the past.

I believe my engine builders is at leased in the top two in Melbourne for the RB26 and he even runs his own seminars for engine building and tuning for other workshops around Australia so his resume will be excellent in court, he is also doing a full report with photos and all measurements and f@&k up's, no tuner-builder want to bag another tuner-builder in court unless it's personal.

I want to take this straight to the Magistrates Court if I can as I'm seeking all cost, I don't want to air all my dirty laundry but one small example is my brand spanking new crankshaft turns out to be some secondhand peace of shit with under size bearings, that's a sin in my book! all bearings big end and mains now rooted after only 2000ks, and that's just the start of it.

Thanks Priestley Ill hang on to the number if the new solicitor doesn't work out Ill give him a call. Thanks guys!

P.S I can't keep out of my car now, the new engine feels awesome!
