I usually use motul turbolight oil in my car but I am changing the oil for the tune and I have some penrite hpr15w-60 here and wanting to use this since the oil is just for the tune then the car will be sitting around for 6months so I dont want to go spend 60bux on oil that is basically for one day for tune you rekon this will be alright for the tune?

The 60 is a bit thick I think, I actually used to use that when I first bought the car like 5 years ago but then changed to a 10-50, I actually felt the car become better to drive and I little more responsive (although that could of just been my brain telling me I was making the right choice in oil) haha. The car obviously wont explode or anything but I believe a thinner oil make make it run better on the dyno. But that is my thought. Best to wait for someone to correct/agree with me.

When I ran my car, I found HPR15 to be too thin... Spewed it out breathers everywhere when on boost...

I run HPR30 normally.

yeah we find that the penrite sin stuff does not cut it in these rb engines especially if you give them a hard time.... the oil turns so thin among other things. ive dropped quite a few sumps of penrite out of cars on the dyno and refilled with motul or castrol.

Their HPR GAS and old tech stuff is great in my old 454 big block though....
