Hey guys.

Silly question but i better double check. Just about ready to throw my new Hypergear turbo on. Just getting the space ready before i do.

It comes with a braided Oil line. Now banjo fitting on turbo side (easy enough), On the engine side it is a 2 piece setup. Male thread which screws into the stock location on the engine. Then it has a threaded compression type end which screws into the female thread on the braided line. It Screws in quite easily to the engine. Now i am trying to work out what i can use to ensure theres no oil leakages. Whether a copper washer connecting to the engine would be sufficient and whether i would need anything to seal the fitting to the braided line.

If this make no sense at all I can get pictures up tomorrow. Last thing stopping me from getting the turbo onto the manifold.

Cheers for any help.

Luke

Hey mate I think it might be a copper washer.

What hypergear turbo did you get?

Reason asking is I just picked up mine today from Stao. Its the atr43g3 .82. Mine won't be installed and tuned untill first week of Jan. So let us know how you go.

ATR43i - G3 0.63 housing.

Cheers. I'll stick with just the copper washer. And just keep an eye on it for the start to make sure she seals.

It'll be a fair while before i will be able to post real results. I'm doing a bit of cosmetic work under the bonnet whilst its all out which im in no major hurry for, and with both cars insurance and rego due shortly, I wont be able to afford to get tuned for a while.

Hey mate,

Just to let you know i got a ATR28 from stao for an RB20.

The stock coolant lines wont fit.... if fact they hit on the turbo so i had to get some braided ones made up.

Didnt know until i tried to get it to fit...

Cheers
